also tbh when I was trying to figure out what you meant by "one of these are not like the others" I had guessed Newtkit but honestly he could hypothetically pass off as Sandwhisker's, just slightly more brown (but you could argue that it comes from Glitterwave)

Well he didn't react well.

Sandwhisker and Oliverwhisker had a huge fight, it ended in near bloodshed, and Glitterwave was left alone, and the kits had no father, and a very distant mother. This happened during their apprenticeship, so they at least had their mentors to help them.

decided to make a 'map' of windclan, official family tree style! it helps me organize them visually

 EEP THANK YOU it was intended to be a healthy relationship! OR WELL I’m not sure if it would be healthy truly considering Acornbee did like, enable Snowstar a lot, and they were two toxic people placed together, but I did want to portray in the comic that they did genuinely both love each other. They loved each other and they actually would have been pretty decent parents to their kits had they stayed around (but that doesn’t change the fact that Acornbee straight up abandoned them sooo... no matter how many ifs or buts they aren’t good people for sure) but that was an intentional thing! I wanted my villains to be rounded, so while they weren’t good people at all, they still had some interesting qualities that balanced them out, you know? Not pure evil, but just because they had the capability of doing nice things from time to time that did not justify or excuse at all what they did.

As for the villains and supporters!! I’ll do a brief little list right here under the cut :>!!

as u all kno lightningface was the result of an illegal half clan relationship and that their brother (sandwhisker) was raised in windclan and betrothed to graystars daughter morningclaw (u can read more abt that here and here) 

lightning as an apprentice bonded a lot with morning (of course eveningscale/eveningpaw and beestorm/beepaw also were friends with morning but not as close as lightning was) and after they all ranked up to warriors/caretakers lightningface realized that WHOOPSY they had romantic feelings for morningclaw but they never rlly told morningclaw this bc they didnt want to add onto morningclaws plate bc morningclaw was already struggling with stuff

i think u can all tell that sandwhisker is bad news lol but he started out as a sweet kid that morning cared for; however he changed for the worst as they grew older and morning thought it was too late to back out of the arranged mateship especially since the (albeit rocky) riverclan/windclan peace treaty was dependent on their marriage. lightningface (and even beestorm but mainly lightningface) always encouraged morningclaw to just leave windclan since she was unhappy and stressed out so much but morningclaw knew that if she left her dad would raise hell and would just find her+bring her back anyways - she also felt guilty bc she was graystars only daughter and graystars mate passed away during mornings apprenticeship

around the time morningclaw revealed she was pregnant with sandwhiskers kits (which definitely broke lightningfaces heart), briarflower (at the time a kittypet named brownie) joined riverclan. she was already pregnant with mink+chub at this stage and actually left her owners bc she wanted to raise this litter and be there for them as a mother, and she knew if she stayed her owners would take+sell the kittens bc thats what they did to her first litter. she easily settled right into the lightning/evening/bee friend group and she was especially close to lightningface + eveningscale bc those two were the caretakers that tended to her while she was pregnant/in the nursery raising mink and chub

lightningface gets chubpaw as an apprentice and meets mornings kids (yellowpaw, thriftpaw and campionpaw) at the gathering and is like “i need to move on from her” so they focus on training chubpaw and their friendships; during the training of chubpaw, lightningface and briarflower grow closer and bond some more; briarflower also even meets morningclaw and the two of them hit it off n become pals. life goes on after chub and mink are ranked up and lightning feels like theyre effectively moving on from their romantic feelings for morningclaw -- shortly after chubstream and minkclaw get their caretaker/warrior names, briarflower realizes that uh oh shes beginning to fall for lightningface

what lightningface doesnt know is that morningclaw actually has feelings for them but again wont act on it or even talk about/acknowledge it bc even tho her union with sandwhisker isnt based on love or any genuine feelings, she still feels like thered be bad consequences if she were to leave sandwhisker officially and pursue lightningface back. lightningface isnt aware of this but is aware of morningclaws general dissatisfaction with her life in windclan and is there for her whenever she needs them and the two continue to have a close/important friendship -- during this 3 year break (between the birth of mink+chubs generation and then the birth of the next generation - rose’s generation), lightningface also begins to reciprocate briarflowers feelings but a. doesnt know briarflower feels like that for them too and also b. doesnt act on anything bc part of them feels guilty due to their previous very long amount of pining over morningclaw -- which theyre gradually getting over more and more as time goes on.  briarflower eventually approaches lightningface and the two of them discuss their feelings for each other and agree to take things slow/keep it a secret from the clan/their friend group for now in case things dont work out

when morningclaw gets pregnant again (with rosekit) she tells lightningface its sandwhiskers litter and lightningface congratulates her but still feels bad for her since they know morningclaw doesnt actually love sandwhisker due to him just. generally being an asshole and hes nothing like the cat he was when he was younger. lightningface has already come to terms with/accepted the fact morningclaw wont leave sandwhisker but this new pregnancy really drives the nail into the coffin.

lightningface learns at a gathering that morningclaw has disappeared and is presumed dead and ofc the friend group grieves heavily. lightningface in particular takes it hard and while theyve moved on from morningclaw theres still that “what if?” question that lingers on their mind, especially thinking that morningclaw didn’t get the happy ending she deserved; briarflower is there for lightningface during this period and comforts them
