“How stupid do you think I am? Don’t answer that.”

Suzie doesn’t expect the knock on the door when it comes. She also doesn’t expect to see Sam Star, someone who she’s only just beginning to move from the “friend-of-a-friend” into the “friend” category, standing at the door with a bottle of wine.

“I brought wine,” she says, as if it’s perfectly normal for her to be here.

“That’s great,” Suzie says, stepping aside to let Sam in because what else can she do? “For what?”

Sam steps inside, looks around. Blinks. “Is there not a dinner party?”

Suzie snorts. “Not that I’m aware of. Was there supposed to be?”

“I don’t know, Kori told me to come!” 

“And what, you believed it?” Suzie grins, knowing how it feels to be on the receiving end of Kori’s weird meddling. She knows why Sam is here, now that Kori’s name has been thrown into it, but she won’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

“Now just how stupid do you think I am?” Sam grumbles, and she must’ve seen something on her face because Suzie barely opens her mouth to reply before she snaps, “Don’t answer that.” 

“Stupid enough to come to a fake dinner party, at the very least.” Suzie answers anyway. “You’re welcome to stay, but I hope you like pasta because that’s all I had planned for tonight?” It’s a question, but she doesn’t really know what to do if the answer is no.

Sam sighs to herself, the same one she lets out after Kori and Lydia get stuck on some dumb bit on a night out. Then she turns around, smiling back at Suzie. “That sounds perfect, if you don’t mind me imposing. We can still break into the wine.” She holds up the bottle enticingly. 

And it’s enticing—as is the thought of spending a night getting to know Sam, just the two of them.

hi anon!!!!! firstly you're the realest ever for that T T i confess m (the-georgia-on-my-mind) and i both were ConsideringTM them even before the lipsync so when last episode happened it was like. well do we even have a choice now !!!

i don't know if i personally will write them anytime soon but hmmmmm good question if i did i think i'd probably go for something like rivals to lovers?? seeing as they are both so competitive and have said so... mostly i just love the idea that suzie who's so fiercely committed to going against the grain and doing her own thing and sam who is ofc the epitome of polished pageant girl, cowgirl barbie, million watt smile could end up together HEHEHE so any AU i wrote of them would have that dynamic for sureee (also sam is so violently little miss perfect by joriah kwame coded. has anyone else noticed this)

but yeah idk 👀 what ideas would you want to see of them? honestly it's wayy more likely that i'd draw them so if you have ideas for that too i'd love to hear them ~~

oooh not sure about a fic (forgive me we're entering finals week which means my brain is turned to mush LMAO) but I have the vague (and I mean super vague lmao) of an idea. it'd be like pageant princess sam x suzie who was hired as a ranch hand on her family's farm. for some reason or another Sam is forced to start working with her (which she hates at first bc she hates getting dirty) but gradually learn to tolerate and then even grow to like each other !!
