Rin was desperate to find the human female he saw on the surface. He told his royal subjects to search the seas. He was depressed and would not eat. His mother presented him with a gift to leave the seas and go to the surface. He wanted to find the girl of his dreams! This day he visited the surface and hoped to catch a glimpse of the woman he loves. He swam closer to the shore than he has ever been. He watched as her smile illuminated the beach. She was playing volleyball with her friends. She tagged her partner so she could get a drink. She looked out at the water as she took a drink from her water bottle. She saw the maroon haired man watching the game. Ina smiled at him and called out.

“Hey, come play with us! We could use one more person!”

Rin turned as red as his hair and dove back into the water. He forgot about his tail as he swam deeper and deeper. Ina saw it and rubbed her eyes. This was too much. Was that a tail?? She rubbed her eyes and looked around. Did they see it too?

Ina tried to ignore the thoughts in her head. A few weeks later she saw the same man again but in a coffee shop. He was reading on his phone with earbuds in. He glanced over to the girl and blushed redder than his hair...again. 

“H-Hi...”

Ina answered him back as she took a seat at the table beside him.

“Hi, um...do you swim?”

She covered her mouth with wide eyes. The maroon haired man chuckled.

“Yes, sometimes. Would you like to come with me next time?”
