There are many reasons:
Novelty
He's only been around for about... half a year? Since December. This means he and his design is fresh in my mind and aligns with my currrent... sensibilities? Twinks aren't really my current sensabilities- but you may notice he has strong hair shapes and strong shapes in general and his story deals with time travel and he's self destructive unwittingly. These are all things I like.
These are all things I like right now.
He's also less... exhausted in terms of art ideas? Or maybe that just keeps the ideas pumping. Compared to Quinn for example, I've drawn him LESS so I have MOAR THOUGHTS and shit. Maybe? I don't know.
2. His attributes in 'canon'
Like fucking Everybody I write about, Sam is a fucking weirdo who has horrible opinions and who fascinates me endlessly.
He's isolated for most of the plot. He's always second fiddle to his brother Dennis who I've drawn like Twice. He's actively trying to cover up his fuckup. He will move time and space to not make people hate him and he does not see the Possible Consequences. He has many layers and angles. And he is fucked in the head.
There is so much to think about and it is all so so so good. To me. I don't talk about it because I don't even know if people would like that. I did some character exercises with him the other day! He is a mess and a terrible person. I love thinking about him. He is better than he thinks he is also.
3. The relatability part
His self image struggles are kind of me expressing my own and HEY YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW THAT.
4. You chucklefucks keep enabling me
You seem to like him. You haven't said "STOP FUCKING SAMPOSTING JESUS CHRIST" yet. Actually I don't think that would kill this either.
