#salem oregon

Called and emailed a few orgs, applied to jobs yesterday. Just... Working away at it. I will leave this fucked up place. I want a lease by mid September. I will wait til late September if I have a really good reason to. Come hell or high water, organized or not, money or not, I'm headed to Oregon by then. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I'm laser focused in it. I WILL survive this, and come out on top, and I WILL get up to some cool shit in Portland and help people and not plan ways to kill myself.

Any case managers in here working in Salem, Eugene, or, probably preferably, Portland, Oregon? I'm an easy enough case- no addictions, no kids, I'm lucide, educated, communicate well, I have phone service, all my documents, some college, a wide variety of skills, and my wife is a mathematician. We're just in a pickle because we put too many eggs in a basket that fell through and we're trying to leave very quickly for safety.

Due to budget cuts the Salem Public Library is at risk of being permanently shut down… For more police funding…

This is the only public library in Salem. And it’s one of the few places I and many other people can go to as a safe place.

My friend has a petition going on to hopefully get more attention and stop this from happening, so please, if you can sign this petition that would be so lovely. You don’t need to donate money or anything, just a signature is all.
