Ismāʾīl Al-Asbahani — رحمه الله — said:

Among the practices of the people of Sunnah is to be cautious in matters of food, drink, marriage, and to avoid major sins and abominations. They exhort one another to love for the sake of Allah, to avoid arguing and disputing over the fundamentals of religion, to keep away from the people of desires and misguidance, to shun them and to distance themselves from them.

They are committed to fulfilling agreements and trusts, to avoid injustices and dubious matters, to lower their gaze from doubtful and forbidden things, to restrain the self from desires, to refrain from bearing false witness and slandering chaste women, to hold back the tongue from backbiting, slander, and unnecessary talk, to suppress anger, to overlook the faults of brothers, to hasten in doing good deeds, to abstain from dubious matters, to maintain family ties, to help the weak and needy, to give sincere advice for the sake of Allah, to show compassion towards Allah's creation, to perform night prayers, especially for those who have memorized the Qur’ān, and to be prompt in performing the prayers.

Those really strict close minded Salafis, Islam doesn’t teach us to only talk to other Salafis brothers and sisters, no chance Islam would have spread if the Sahabah did that...

Literally saw a post that said: “only talk to me if you’re a salafi” like ya ukhty this is not Islam, you’re pushing people away from deen with that behavior. You are not following the salafi footsteps in that for sure, be a welcoming person. Even in the Quran it doesn’t say to do anything of the sort...in fact it says, don’t sit with people when they’re mocking the religion but once the topic has moved on you can sit with them again...hmmmmmmmmmmm

This is only one of the many problematic things I’ve seen from such people...please learn the seerah and Quran - CONTEMPLATE

Be willing to respectful discourse also, y’all only understand one interpretation and then call everyone else misguided and kuffaar when the sahabah themselves had differences in opinions!!!

Do you know how sinful it is to drag other people about being misguided or kaafir when their interpretation on a matter is backed up by authentic text and scholarly opinions??? EXTREMELY!

Many of you throw around those two labels as if it’s nothing but it’s a serious matter!!!! And none can become a kaafir unless their aqeedah is incorrect or they don’t establish prayers FYI
