Imterpretations for my stories, mainly HCW. Most of this is based on facts.

I always forget to post these Saladin concepts lol they were in a folder so I just don’t see them when i scroll. Some of my choices are outdated, but I won’t waste any more time on them—it’s been over a year 😂

The swords, the horse and the tack are all not exactly correct 😅 With the tack, I just wanted to illustrate quickly the pearl-factor haha.

In truth, concept sheets like these are chaotic and not entirely accurate because they are just for me to help me visualize things for my stories. But I like to show them sometimes anyway.

My favorite thing is that medieval representation of him :) Apparently, Salahaddin had no extraordinary features lol (according to sources), we just know he had a beard because it’s obvious, and most likely dark hair. So this is why I represent him differently each time, with different phenotypical expressions that are present in his ethnicities.

My other favorite fact is that in one of the attempts against his life by the Assassins, he survived but with a cut to his cheek, so I felt free to interpret that as well! (For the thousandth time: NEEDS to appear in an Assassin’s Creed!!)

Lastly, these are obv not all the looks, especially for the armor. I would like to conceptualize more armor representations and types (and the helmet). I wasn’t sure if those kurdish colors were too modern or not. My brother said no, but I nonetheless kept that “disclaimer” there.

Oh and the ring is made up~ I also imagined a signet but did not draw it.

—afaik, Muhammad ﷺ, sometimes wore four braids like that? I’ve always liked the idea of it and the hairstyle so thought of applying it here too 🤷‍♀️

On July 27, 1192, during the Third Crusade, Ayyubid forces commanded by Saladin launched a surprise assault on the coastal town of Jaffa, a key stronghold of the Crusader states. Jaffa served as the main operational base for Richard I of England, who was leading the Crusader campaign in the Holy Land.

The attack caught the defenders off guard, and Saladin’s army quickly surrounded the city, beginning a siege that threatened to undo Richard’s recent gains. With Jaffa in danger, the English king moved rapidly to organize a response, setting the stage for one of the most dramatic confrontations of the Third Crusade.
