@sadiesplace Closing time in Beach City was almost always around sundown. The little town would start to go dark except for a few restaurants. There would be a lot of trash to take out at the Big Donut, cause not like anyone else was going to do it. And if it wasn't taken out soon then it would start to attract some unwanted guests. But turns out, it already had. There was a rustle in the dumpster and smoke was billowing from it like someone had set it on fire.

Why was the giant gem fusion napping so close to the donut place this time? Welllllllll...If she was being honest, she was getting a bit tired of the beach, so, she decided to nap in the green hilly area close to the Big Donut. Little did she know that, while she was asleep, she had moved juuuussttttt enough, to block the Big Donut’s doors with her giant head...

Normally Baddel didn’t go in for sweet foods like the box of donuts before her, though she didn’t want to seem rude to the blonde ‘teenager’ who’d given them to her. After a few moments of hesitant deliberation, she settled on a plain cake donut, breaking off a tiny piece of it and nibbling slowly. After swallowing, her shoulders gave an involuntary shudder as she offered an uneasy smile.
“T-thank you, friend... I... really enjoyed that...”

The gem sat at a table on the boardwalk, seeming concentrated on what she was working on.
She seemed to scribble on the paper, drawings and illegible writing. She let out a seemingly happy chirp of happiness. Then she lifted the paper, squawking a bit.
Her gleeful expression changes when she noticed nobody sitting across from her...
She looked around anxiously, then let out a chrr of defeat. Her two friends must’ve left... she laid down the paper on the table, looking down at it wistfully.
