That sounds nice. Do you get along with your partner’s mother well? I’m going to work Christmas Eve, a long shift, and then I’ll likely have Christmas dinner with some friends. How long is partner’s mother staying with the two of you?

Probably... Zhenya-- he’s a real looker. River’s all kinds of delicious. Dylan’s a charmer, and Jameson’s just a sweetie-patootie. Ezra and his bike got me fannin’ myself, too.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am a master of energy. It’s just a gift. Thanks, lots of things look good on me, but I’m glad to know the leather is another thing. How’s it going, man? Your new year starting the way you imagined?

Who I Am || Para || Mario & @dr-river-morgan 

He’d gotten up a couple of hours ago as he’d been expecting a call from work and didn’t want to disturb River. It had been a struggle to get out of bed without waking the other man. For someone who never use to like cuddling too much River now slept quite soundly while wrapped around Mario. Once he was up and wearing something he could wander around the house in, Mario headed down the stairs to let Henry out (he always came over on sleepovers too) and wait for his call. Luckily he didn’t have to wait long and after a quick confirmation of details Mario went about making up a cup of tear and headed back up the stairs. 

He stopped in the doorway for a moment. River’s hair was messy from sleep and his tall frame took up so much of the bed. Mario knew he needed a bigger bed but he was hoping at some point to steal River’s and move that in. There was plenty of room for it. Moving back in together was something Mario had been thinking about but they were doing things differently this time. No more rushing. They were thinking about their actions this time round. They’d been together months this time round but it was coming up a year if they missed out the time they were broken up. 

With a year came a lot of new kinds of commitments. River had recently told Mario he wanted him to meet his parents. Mario was well aware of how big of a thing this was for River. While Mario’s mother had met River quite early on she was such a relaxed and laid back mother it barely felt like that big of a deal to Mario. This was huge. This was they were going to have a future together kind of huge. With that all in mind Mario knew he couldn’t keep part of himself hidden from River any more. With him being over more frequently he didn’t want to have to hide the weight his job put on him so he’d requested permission to make River aware and have him listed as his emergency contact should something happen to him on job. This was it. He was going to tell him the truth.
