I love your writing & I wish you luck with the school. How would the TMNT mirage react to s/o revealing that they had a rough childhood, but still remain optimistic & caring person? But still suffer from depression & such.

Leo š:
- Leo is somewhat listless when you spill the tea about your childhood. Leo had always believed that people with tough childhoods always turned out rough around the edges. But you werenāt like that. You were happy-go-lucky.
- Leo will try to forget what you said (key word: try). No matter how hard he tries all he can do is hear your voice echoing in his head. The truth about his feelings will only come out to April over a beer. April, being the best big sister ever, will try to help him figure his feelings out.
- Leo awkwardly tries to tell you heās there for you the next time you meet. Heās not a very ātouchy-feeleyā guy like that. When he sees the blank look on your face heās afraid that he pushed you too far. He only settles after you wrap him in a hug to thank him for listening.
- Leo will take it upon himself to go back to the area you grew up in and personally clean it up. You were a success story of rags to riches, but some other kids might not be so fortunate. He thinks that if he can spare another kid from the trauma that you faced, heāll be doing a service to the world.
- Leo wonāt hesitate to reassure you that you are a good person. He knows that you are prone to bats of depression and anxiety stemming from the childhood trauma you have. Heāll go to about any length to help you feel better. Hugs, kisses, your favorite food. He wants you to know whatever happened wasnāt your fault.
Raph ā¤ļø:
- Raph didnāt exactly have an āeasyā childhood, or an āeasyā life for that matter. I mean, how easy could your life be when youāre a human-sized turtle that was trained by your strict father to be a killing machine. It also doesnāt help to be in love with someone from an entirely different species in a world that wouldnāt understand. Itās not like Raph cared much though. The moment he saw your face all his worries were put to rest.
- Heās in shock when you tell him about your childhood. I mean, Raph knew about your depression and your not exactly five star family life, but he wouldnāt have guessed your childhood was so rough. Heās dumbfounded. Who in the hell would want to hurt you, let alone sweet little baby you.
- Raph is a little awkward about it. Itās not because he thinks youāre strange, itās because he doesnāt know how to react. You, the love of his life, just spilt your guts to him. What if he does something wrong. Will you not trust him? Will you leave him? How does he know?
- Heāll ask if you want to talk about it. If you do, then heāll quietly sit and listen as you go more into detail with how youāre feeling. If you donāt, heāll simply put his arm around you and try to distract you from your pain.
- Raph is seriously gonna bust some skulls though. Heāll enlist Casey to help make whoever made your life miserable pay. Using some ninja skills heāll put whoever hurt you through unbearable pain and blackmail that youāll find them crying on your doorstep begging for forgiveness.
Donnie š:
- Donnie had a feeling that you had a tough past. You were so optimistic and happy and perky but you seem to have a few demons. The moment you open up to Donnie he decides to just sit and listen.
- Donnie knows you well enough to know what you want. If youāre a touchy-feeley heāll give you physical affection. If you want some time to process, heāll leave you alone and give you time to think.
- Donnie will try to help you catch up on anything you missed. If you had to skip out on school to take care of your home life or your younger siblings Donnie will spend hours on end trying to catch you up on your academics. You will walk into a date knowing only basic literature skills and leave knowing Shakesphere level phonics.
- He wonāt think that youāre stupid. You may feel like a dummy around a genius like Donnie. If you ever even HINT at feeling stupid Donnie is on you like white on rice. Heāll do anything and everything to make you feel adequate.
- If the area that you grew up in was rough, Donnie will tell his brothers about it. He wonāt explicitly say that you in particular had a rough childhood, heāll just say that they should patrol the area more often because itās a rough neighborhood.
Mikey š§”:
- You reveal the fact you had a rough past in the misdt of a intimate conversation. He has a lot of questions about it. He doesnāt mean it in the harsh way. He just wants to know.
- Heāll give you any physical reassurance you need when it. When ever the demons of your past come back to haunt you heāll wrap you in his arms and reassure you that your last doesnāt affect your future.
- Like Raph, whoever hurt you in the past is gonna get it. Heāll hunt down your past abusers like a dog. Whoever hurt you is gonna fear you for the rest of your life.
- Heāll make sure you know youāre loved. He knows that your past was harsh but he doesnāt want you to think your future has to be. Heāll pay you every compliment in the book to make you feel better. Heāll also help you drown your feelings in pizza.
