Apply for it. Include in your cover letter why you're applying "in spite of" not exactly fitting the requirements (or whatever the reason is that you're "not following instructions").

just apply, in any case it's good practice. YOu are eloquent enough to make your references sound appealing and useful even if they are a bit dated - it's still way more than others will have to offer so go for it! Can't be worse than not hearing back from them
Well the Sis & dad had the same advice as the two of you so I’m going to apply indeed--I wanna try sending the letter in tomorrow if at all possible, and then I’ll have to also apply for a visa I guess, or at least figure out how it works, bc if I wait until I hear from the structure it might be too late ><
(Tho ha, my eloquence usually feels like it deserts me when it’s time to sell myself so that’s gonna be a fun exercize, but probably a healthy one, I guess xD)

Yeah, combine that with how the miniseries ended with him placing himself in a prophetic position (with the whole ‘I’ll take you back to earth’ thing) I’m fully expecting him to give dictatorship a go at some point tbh, whether hemeans to or not x)

I generally don’t really want an answer to the questions I ask during liveblogging, no--especially not when, as I suspect is the case here, the answer might spoil plot points :P
Also I might hit you up on those recs--so far I’m more into Kara than anyone else (Kara/Lee is my current weakness :P) but Helo has potential so why not :D

My headcanon is that Reaping Day is July 4 every year as kind of a big FU from the Capitol to the districts on what once was Independence Day.
The symbolism is just so perfect.
Another twisted thing about it is that Reaping day is still a holiday, kind of like Independence Day, just minus the independence. You get off from work or school, everyone meets up for a patriotic event, and as long as no one in your family gets reaped, you have a nice meal in celebration afterwards.
