it may be one of the most mask-off moments we've seen from hannibal. in francis's imagination we see hannibal the way weve seen him in past seasons- calm, collected, curious, composed, detached, bright eyed even- then we switch back to reality, where hannibal stands, hunched over the phone in his cell. his body may be still, but his face says everything. the mask of delicate detachment is gone, he can barely disguise the tone of his voice. he doesnt care who molly and walter are, he doesnt care that they havent wronged him, he wants them dead. im sure in his own mind theyve wronged him in one way or another, but obviously hes not bothering to find any ""real"" justification. he wants them dead and doesnt seem to really care how it happens

when alana and jack confront him later in the episode he looks so fucking proud of himself too......

and then the confrontation with will My God. hannibal really lets the sadist inside him show bc with all the anger and grief will is in, hannibal just looks rapt. like he cant get enough of seeing will in this state.
