First of all, apart from wincest I think we don't talk enough about how this episode once again takes away his bodily autonomy.

Also gary asking if he could drive and Dean just agreeing is actually kind of surprising, telling us that Sam must've just never asked

Wincest wise:

The iconic diner scene

1: the fact that Sam only reacts with slight annoyance/dismissal is crazy. (If my siblings called me baby I would definitely react differently.) Also this feels like it obviously is not the first time Dean called him that (even in jest)

2: literally the only right way Sam could've reacted. Just imagine if he had told Dean that he was till thinking about leaving the lifestyle. Dean would've thrown punches again before locking Sam up to keep him with him

Imo it's not a very wincesty episode since:

I feel like with Wincest, Dean would have reacted differently to Gary going off to have sex. Like Sam is his (property) and his to have sex with (use), not really somebody else.

Dean would've also figured out it wasn't Sam much quicker if it was Wincest, since I don't think Gary would've been able to ge through gay incestious sex

u know that last bit where Sam says Gary's life sucked and apple pie life was stressful? I'm sorry I don't buy that that's how Sam felt in that moment. Not when we have seen Sam crave that for most of his life. I always felt that was a very non-Sam thing to say
