Well, I did answer a few similar topics here and there - you find the posts here about sweet fan interactions with Richard and here about someone who wasn't satisfied when meeting him. I have no 'proof' of his attitude, whatever that may be, since I don't know him personally. I'm just a fan of what he presents to us, the audience, I find joy in his music, his interviews, his way of thinking when it comes to art.

Of course as a fan, you always hope that the object of your admiration- the person you like the most - has a friendly and kind personality. And I’m sure Richard has that side to him. Still, I don’t know what his personality is like as a whole. It’s natural to not always be in a great mood 100% of the time, and yes, there are also people who are less pleasant than others in such situations. So it doesn’t surprise me if not every meeting with a fan or every interaction proceeds joyfully.

The thing is, peoples dislike for Richard is almost as old as the band itself. It apparently really started shortly after the Mutter era, when his callous and thoughtless behaviour towards his band members came to light (mentioned it here) - not least because of Schneider's statements in the Rock Hard interview in 2004. Plus, he openly talked about his mental health issues and the atmosphere within the band during different episodes, so this may also be a reason why people who have no interest in this find him disagreeable.
