“ I think most people would like to believe they're good. I'm not sure it's always that simple.”

Arms folded over her chest, Momo studied Toushiro. It wasn't often — in fact, she wasn't sure if ever — the two spoke like this, without taunting quips or sour attitudes. It was … a surprise. But she had to admit, it was a welcome one. ( It was nice to see another side to him — especially one far less irritating. )
❝ You've got a point. But isn't that, like, normal? ❞ Humans were as complicated as they were flawed. No one person could do ‘good’ all of the time. Mistakes, poor decisions, misunderstandings were a promise in the human experience and few could merit marring a person's standing of ‘good’ forever. By the very nature of personhood, ‘good' or ‘bad’ were simply far too rudimentary of categories — they were much too intertwined.
