“I love them, but I need Papadakis/Cizeron to stop talking about how they’re not interested in doing things they have done before. Doing other styles of dancing because of the RD requirements doesn’t count as doing ‘things you’ve never done before.’ Also, while the elements of their FD technically can be classified as different, it’s the variation of the same theme with different color pallettes. They just sound pretentious and not self-aware, and I honestly worry about their OGM chances.”

“I love P/C as skaters and people off-ice, but honestly I do think them saying ‘we're tired of doing things that have been done before’ is pretentious and lacking in self-awareness. They're literally doing variations of the same theme, reusing a lot (but not all) of their elements unless they're forced to do another style in RD. They're still the best skaters in ID right now, but they're not exactly the peak of skating innovation.”

“I get why people may not enjoy Chock and Bates’ style, programs or skating in general, but if you don’t think they’ve had the best lifts in the world for pretty much their entire partnership, you’re just plain wrong.”

“I’m sure there are great performances, but ‘Romeo and Juliet’ just seems so generic and boring that seeing people are skating to it seems so uninspired.”

“Used to hate besti-squats and a-spins because they looked weird. Now I love them because they’re hella cool and add a creative, almost Picasso-esque ‘edge’ to the choreo of a program.”

“I really wish Papadakis and Cizeron would do more energetic programs in the future. ‘Fame’ came like a breath of fresh air, and it's kind of sad that they didn't get the chance to truly make it perfect with the season being cut short. I always found them flawless, but boring, but this season gave me hope that they might stop skating safe and broaden their horizons in the future. I'm looking forward to it.”
