I recently watched Ryomaden too!! It's so good omg. I'm still thinking about the Takechi seppuku scene months later it broke me lmao. Fukuyama is so good as Ryoma!! More people need to watch this show.

HIIIII ANON!!! Oh my godddd that last conversation between Takechi and his wife before he got taken away made me cry 🥲 Japanese people are really good at saying ‘I love you’ without saying ‘I love you’. The people Ryoma lost along the way also made me sad ahhhhhhh

And the last scene by the ocean at the last episode got me 😭 as well. Imagine all the other things he could’ve accomplished if things didn’t end the way it did! I got so attached to Ryoma because he’s so likeable, cheerful, loyal, kind (and also HOT 😂). I only finished it a few days ago and I’m still thinking about it! It’s really been a journey!!

And YESSSSS, more people need to see this masterpiece! I get that 48-50 EPS of Japanese historical drama may not be for everyone but Ryomaden is really good!! The performances are really good the cast delivered!! 100% recommend!!

Now I’m off to find more Masaharu Fukuyama shows and movies 👀
