After our @chrissalephoto photo workshop finished at Rydal Caves, @jeffogden2 and I decided to return to a stream nearby which we had spotted earlier. On a grey overcast day, waterfalls, woodland scenes and mossy greens still look lovely! As the light was low and I wanted to show glowing water, a tripod was essential. One full second exposure at f/22 iso50 wide-angle at 24mm. Having given up on Rydal Water during our shoot organised by @chrissalephoto due to flooding, we headed up to Rydal Caves which benefitted from some flooding to give reflections however the light was poor. Suddenly the morning light shone and lit up the trees in the entrance which worked well. Thanks to @chrissalephoto for organising a photography workshop at Rydal and also thanks to @james_r_burns for suggesting I shoot this little group of trees which I hadn’t even noticed! The light was beautiful and James suggested a long exposure to smooth out the lake and give some colour separation between the trees and the background. Joining @chrissalephoto for his Rydal Water workshop with @james_r_burns and @jeffogden2 only to find that most of our subject matter and the access path were underwater!
