It’s just general info about the train car and it’s denizens, but there will be more I promise!

The Car Itself:

+When you first open the door to this car, you'll notice a hallway, wider than the door by two feet on either side and taller by one. The ceiling and walls and floors are entirely made of stone, sort of how you'd expect a dungeon to be. The walls are made of brick, old and weathered, while the floors and ceiling are smoother, the ceiling being completely smooth and the floor being made of large stone tiles, four across.

+If any car deserves to be called a Maze Car, it's this one. It's just an endless mess of halls and dead-ends, finding the exit is entirely a thing of luck. Some of the turns don't even make sense; someone once made four right turns and found a long straight hallway where the hall they came from should've been. Passengers have gotten lost for days in this car.

+The halls are dark, with torches lining the walls, evenly spaced so that there's a few meters of just darkness between the very edges of the torchlight. The exit and the entrance doors both have a torch on either side of the door on the inside the car.

+Despite all the fire, it's rather chilly in the car. Passengers have noticed the stark difference in temperature the moment they pass the doorways of either door.

+Both Passengers and Denizens have never failed to notice a feeling of unease the moment they open the door to the car, along with the feeling of being watched. Passengers are more likely to ignore this feeling and just enter the car anyways, given their number situation it feels like a necessity.

+People moving through the halls have noticed a near constant whispering of multiple voices inside the car with seemingly no source.

+Samantha has been in this car once, and she refuses to step foot in it ever again. Amelia has encountered this car, and decided to avoid it entirely after protests from her denizen.

The Denizens:

+The denizens of the Shadow Car are what give it its name, they're Living Shadows, mostly keeping to the darkness between torches. In the light, they appear as shadows on surfaces with nothing to cast them, with light seemingly passing through where their eyes and mouth should be, sort of as if light were shining through a mask.

+They can be categorized into two groups; Denizen Shadows and Passenger Shadows.

+Denizen shadows are a little more formless; they don’t look like anyone specific, just a vaguely human-shaped silhouette. Their movement is more fluid, joints and limbs bending in more of a curve rather than stiff, like they don’t have bones. Which they don’t.

+Behaviourally, Denizen Shadows are more fascinated with the passengers passing through the car. Most anything they do comes from a place of genuine curiosity; they don’t know what it’s like to be us, all they’ve ever known are the cars walls.

+Passenger Shadows are more distinct, silhouettes of the people they used to be. Their limbs and joints bend more stiffly, like they’re used to.

+Behaviourlly, Passenger Shadows are significantly more bitter, angry and mournful of the life they’ve lost. They’re known to be incredibly jealous of the passengers that pass through, more likely to try and lead them astray, filled with a longing for a life that’s no longer theirs. Some, however, thankfully wouldn’t wish this fate on their worst enemy, and are therefore more helpful whenever they stop moping around.

+Denizen or Passenger, the shadows will whisper amongst themselves whenever there’s someone in the car.
