im kind of obsessed with grif becoming someone who's only able to relax in the company of others. being the type of person to encourage his friends etc to chill out & have a good time & just rest.
observing one of his few genuinely restless moments made me wonder what grif's ideal concept of peace looks like, and it seems to involve a lot of parallel play. it's stretching out on the beach while others are swimming & making sand castles & fishing & looking for stuff to do & squabbles with no heat behind them & just. living around each other.
anyway it feels significant that grif's framework of ideal comfort goes from napping in stolen moments to all his friends getting a well-deserved break. and then he goes stir crazy as soon as he realizes back-to-back naps & one-man hijinks aren't as satisfying without someone to enjoy them with.
