Every day seemed to be the same lately. Usually one rich customer or another would come and pester him about wanting to talk to their dead lover/father/mother/etc. or there would be no one at all.
Today seemed to be the latter and so he was sprawled over his favourite armchair, only the skull he often carried with him, keeping him company. His whole body language screamed boredom but also... loneliness. He was so damn lonely.
A sudden knock at his front door shattered the depressing quiet that had filled the house. Slowly he forced himself to stand up, not bothering to leave the skull on the mantelpiece of his fireplace, he headed through the hallways to the double door.Â
“Yes?” Blinking at the sudden brightness of the outside - his own mansion was always kept pretty dark since he preferred it - and as such, it took his eyes a few seconds to adjust but when they did, he let out a small, “Oh. ...Come in.” Stepping aside he motioned for the other to enter, only closing the door once he was inside. Without waiting, he headed back to the living room he had been in before and dropped back into his chair, skull cradled close to his chest. “So... what can I do for you?”
