I had just spent $45 on a brand-new plush blanket, and it turned out to be $45 that I didn't have because now I'm overdrawn.

I had to get this Market because my cat had peed all over my weighted blanket and I was freezing.

So I hurried off to the laundromat, then to get food making me even more overdrawn so finally I get back to my car look at my phone and I have missed two calls and three texts.

When I call back to find out what's going on all my friend kept saying was "haven't you heard the news?!"

This scared the crap out of me because with Trump in office that can mean anything if we could be having a nuclear war right now.

That's when he told me about Neil and I knew it was going to take a long time to process just because the way my brain works these things always do.

But is the next day and my heart is breaking.

But I have to believe he is now at last in the loving arms of his wife and daughter whom he had grieved for, for so long.

He was so strong and so stoic and so smart I cannot imagine what the battle with brain cancer had to have done to him.

Mercifully his fight is over and I hope he is on to a very wonderful peaceful journey together again with his family.
