🌧 #RunInTheRain 🏃 The last weekend of winter here in Northeast Indiana and we had a light rain but no wind and a moderate 42° so I knocked out about 3 miles. A bit sore after a hard knee and ankle workout from yesterday, but need to build up with my next half marathon in just 37 in Western New York. Wet day, and we did suffer, but we are getting faster! I was thinking about a long time ago when I was in the Militia. Always doing everything in all weather, because you had to. But! It wasn’t so bad because you’d have a lot of good kit made for that weather to help you stay warm/dry etc. And if you wrecked it, you just exchange it for new stuff. I owed this workout since Wednesday as I kept avoiding it so Friday morning I had a date with the track. I always thought that I can’t do fast workouts in the morning but today I gave it a go. Not that I was that fast, but it felt ok and it’s great that it was done early in the day. I had the whole brand new track to myself and some light rain ☔️ to cool me down. The 400s were around 1.38’ and the 800s 3.25’.
