This Is Why I Run During today’s Instagram Live with Soraiya of @runformyhero , she asked me what I loved most about running. I told her that when I was in my elementary school track team, it got me out of class early to go “play” and that was fun. But now that I’m older, I love running because the community (that I love like family) and I can help bring awareness to things that are important - like supplying PPE for our frontline essential workers, #justiceforbreonnataylor , #climatechange, and much more. With a potential second wave of #covid19 ahead of us this Fall, I signed up for a virtual 5K at www.runformyhero.com and dedicating this run and to bring awareness to an amazing group of humans - my heroes who are working so hard outside of their real jobs to fundraise, supply, and deliver PPE supply kits to our healthcare essential workers on the frontline.
