Hel has always had a special bond with animals. She was born of the mother of wolves, became their sister along with a serpent and a horse. Her whole life, she understood them better than any god or man.
The very first time Hel used her gifts, it was to bring back a fish she had pulled from the water and kept too long from it.
In every stage of her life, there were more animals than people. And Hel was thankful. Because animals don’t possess the same prejudices and unkind behaviours.
The one I didn’t:
Her realm is very much filled with animals, of all kinds. Some that no living being has ever witnessed, so long forgotten by the worlds that only the dead remember they ever existed. Not all are beautiful in the way others are, some are gnarled and violent creatures. But Hel loves them.

7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
Similar to her dreams Sigyn’s nightmares are often symbolic, jumbled even-- -though their content is no less disturbing. Her nightmares often consist of vivid flashes of imagery, and although they may not n e c e s s a r i l y be prophetic, it is often more difficult to distinguish their nature, given the intense emotion often tied to them. Unlike her dreams, her nightmares however, more often than not, concern those of whom she is closest with.
