It was the Tough Mudder Half today!!
This was one of the craziest races I have ever been to and I loved every minute!!
If you don’t know the Tough Mudder Series is much different than other obstacle races. Its not timed so there is no “competition” with anyone but yourself. The obstacles themselves are based around conquering your fears and team work!! Many of the obstacles you have no choice but to work with anyone available to be able to be successful. That is what makes this race so much fun is that you get to spend a good deal of time cheering and giving a hand to your fellow racers. I even got to give a hand to Robert Killian the Spartan Eliete racer. That was pretty 😎!!
I’m sure I will describe more of the race when the pictures come out, but this is so far my favorite event this OCR season. We got to do a slick wall and climb up and over perfect strangers and then once at the top help hold the human chain so others could do the same. One of my other favorite obstacles was a version of the warp wall but this one had an overhang making it almost impossible to complete alone. I also really liked the water obstacle where you jump onto freezing water then you must get up and over these huge rotating blocks by holding on and have others push and pull so that the blocks rotate everyone over. These were all great and I couldn’t have done it all without the help of everyone out there on the course with me. Thanks everyone!!
I would highly recommend this race. It truly shows the cohesiveness of the COR crew!! Besides the venue itself is very well run which makes for a great event!!
I will share more as I get more pictures. Till then I hope everyone has a fun filled weekend!!
