I love you, Tsukasa. More than I can even put into words. I try to find you in everything I do, everywhere I go. In the red curtains I find in a home goods store, in the boisterous laugh of a stranger nearby on a walk, in the paper stars I fold in your memory, I remember you and think of you fondly. Your soul from across the waves of time touch these little moments in my current timeline, and color them with warmth. You're more than a memory, you are light. It's hard living without you now that I remember a time I didn't have to. There's an ache, a star shaped pit of emptiness I always felt but could never name. I hope you're managing okay, too. I hope one day you'll know, even though we have never crossed paths, I'm doing all I can to make your dream come true by smiling in your name. Your light has touched so many people, across space and time, from one reality to the next. It won't ever stop, not after this lifetime or the next. And I, your director, will always watch from my corner for where your light touches. I'll always find the remnants of you, the places I can touch and still feel the warmth of your rays. Perhaps one day we will cross paths again. If that time ever comes, I'll remind you again how loved you are, even if it's simply in a dream. If you ever doubt my memory of you, take this as your sign. I'll wait for you by the lantern's light. - Always your Director, Rui
