Funny that when I think of Sephti and Rufti, I can imagine Tifa changes Sephiroth in a better timeline but I can't imagine she does the same with Rufus. Rufus is a rich white nepo baby with daddy issue, has superiority complex and a bunch of goons that willing to die for him, Seph is broke test tub baby, has both parents issue, used to be a pretty decent dude and was betrayed by many people. It's easier to imagine the second guy gets better with help than the first guy. No amount of love can change capitalism.

After he finishes his very cold shower, Rufus checks his phone. Nothing but messages and missed calls from the Turks and Reeve. He follows up with the Turks and leaves Reeve on read. And for the rest of the day, he finds himself checking his phone more often than usual, hoping to hear from her or send something himself.
He never does. Days go by and he hears nothing. Soon, it becomes weeks and he's starting to forget that night ever happened. Perhaps it was a dream, he imagined the whole thing; it wouldn't be the first time he'd hallucinated.
But he has the texts from that morning to prove it! His finger hovers over the call button. He's typed up different iterations of the same message. He’s wondered more than once or twice or even thrice if he should just visit her bar again.
It's all for naught, though. He knows he has to let it go. Let her go.
When had he become so attached? How had she gotten under his skin so thoroughly? It was like being inflicted with geostigma all over again, except worse somehow.
Tifa: It's just your clothes, they're all kind of funky.
