Aaron Brings Isla back but Mackenzie is angry and Chas tries to diffuse the situation.
Mackenzie woke up in Caleb and Ruby's flat.
"Coffee?" asked Ruby as Mack stretched and sat up.
"Where's Caleb" Mack asked.
"He's at work" said Ruby.
"I'm sorry if I was a nuisance Ruby last night" Mack said apologetically. "I drank too much whisky"
"It's understandable Isla's your daughter and you're worried about her" said Ruby passing Mack a mug of coffee.
"How about I make you a bacon butty" said Ruby.
"Sounds OK to me" said Mack.
"Don't worry I rang Kerry and told her where you were" said Ruby "Now all we have to do is wait for that husband of yours to come home with your daughter"
"He's just texted" said Mackenzie "He'll be home at lunch time"
"And not a minute too soon" said Ruby "I wouldn't want to be in his shoes when Cain has him about using the garage to dismantle that monster of a father of mines car"
"I'm so sorry about what you went through" said Mack "Aaron went through something similar with his dad and my dad was a monster as well. He regularly beat me up so bad that I ended up in hospital or I couldn't go to school for the bruises"
"Let down by people who are supposed to protect us" said Ruby.
"Aaron was so relieved when he found out he hadn't killed Anthony" said Mack "He went on a downward spiral and he's still reeling"
"Is that why you split up?" asked Ruby.
"We haven't split up" Mack explained "He went back to John because he couldn't trust himself not to lose it with me in front of the kiddies. I told Aaron I didn't want John near Isla. That's why I was so upset when they went off together"
"John hasn't said where he's disposed of Anthony's body but I've got a funny feeling Cain will get it out of him" said Ruby.
"There's something about John I don't trust" said Mack "And I'm sure Cain feels the same. It's up to him not to drop us all in it by making sure the body can never be found"
Mack made his way to the Woolpack where he was to meet Aaron.
"Here he is now" said Chas as Aaron came into the pub with Isla.
"I'm so sorry Mack" said Aaron handing Isla back to her daddy. "The pressure was getting to me and I needed to get away and I thought it would be a good chance for John to bond with Isla.
"Why the hell would John want to bond with Isla. I told you he couldn't have anything to do with her and you let me down" said Mack angrily. "Youve no intention of coming home have you"
"You've got me wrong Mack" said Aaron trying not to lose it.
"You two really want to sort yourselves out" said Chas "That little girl is getting upset so just stop this"
"He's the one who started this" said Mack "Nearly killing Anthony"
"Keep your voices down or you two will blow it" said Chas "And just remember it was Caleb that was happy to let Aaron think he'd killed Anthony and I'll never forgive him for that. And if you two don't sort yourselves out things will not improve. Just get your acts together"
