Eternal order is prescribed by the Sacred Engine. All things flow from the Sacred Engine: all things in their place, all passengers in their section. All water flowing, all heat rising— pays homage to the Sacred Engine in its own particular preordained position. So it is!

                    In an effort to combat global warming, 79 countries began dispersing a cooling chemical called CW-7 into the atmosphere on June 1st 2014, despite the concerns of environmental groups. However, the plan backfired, and temperatures lowered to uncontrollable levels, giving place to a new Ice Age. The world froze, life became extinct. All that remains are the few thousands that boarded the Snowpiercer, a massive train whose track spans the entire globe.

                    Life aboard the rattling ark, however, is highly hierarchic, with a precious elite inhabiting First Class and Economy, while most people life in the squalor of the tail section, a filthy and crammed space holding thousands of people, all living off of daily-issued protein blocks. Seventeen years later, the people are uneasy, restless -- and ready to take down the system that holds them in place.

                    There's a revolution coming.
