Here's a compilation of the paints I used for Hippolyta's armor. These pieces are Eva foam covered in worbla, and primed with Duplicolor scratch filler primer. I then airbrushed with Wicked Opaque Black acrylic. I had a heck of a time getting the black base light enough for the gold hues to really look like gold! I hand painted two layers of the Glorious Gold as a base, and used the rub n buff colors to add dimension to the design layers. The darker espresso color was used for the darker areas- this needed several layers of paint to make it opaque. Painting these pieces today! I'm using metallic acrylics and a bit of Rub N Buff for extra sparkle. This is a fun process but it is taking forever! They look great though and I'm finally happy with the result.
