I forgot to show you what all I picked up at a fruitstand/antique store a few days ago!
Anyone remember when Band-Aids came with mercurochrome already on them? (Heck, anyone else remember Mom staining your owies orange with this synthesis of mercury?)
Three 1940s-1950s C-6 figural Christmas lights: two roses and a Japanese lantern. They were 3x as pricy as I thought the tags said, but they’re worth it because THEY ALL WORK when an 9-volt battery is applied to the bases. That’s rare!
Country Home magazine from 1932 and (a coverless) Literary Digest from 1927. Expect scans in the near future, I’m plotting to do some tonight.
Lastly were a tiny rubberstamp that says “Reserve, Mont” [2010 population: 23] which they gave me for free because the guy had never seen it before (it was in a box of other rubberstamps of Montana town names/addresses), and this typewriter ribbon tin that I just posted to a-typewritten-blog.
