Danny always has something special in his personal collection, and knowing I used to own a 180SX, he wanted to show me his. This one isn’t just any 180—it’s the ATS-BM 180SX, the first 180 to run a sub-1-minute lap at Tsukuba Circuit. I’ve always had a soft spot for S-chassis set up for grip, and this one’s a great example. It wears a Vertex Ridge widebody that’s been further modified for better aero and a more streamlined look. The car was down during my visit since Danny was in the middle of rebuilding the 3037 turbo. He mentioned it has a super short final drive, so it’s always in boost on the highway—lol.
