Ah! hello, hi and howdy folks! As always, it is a delight and a pleasure to bring you the freshest, finest and most up-to-date information of Canyon River Weyr! The update I have for you today is something many of us have been waiting for!

The following information has been provided to all new, prospective, and senior members alike! We welcome everyone to join us in this grand little celebration of our return! We have some truly amazing things up our sleeves for all of you, and your engagement and trust in us are a reward whose value I cannot overstate! With that being said - here's the news!

The timelines for both CRW and Kepler have been adjusted and added to; please update your characters accordingly if you need to.

Clutching history for both factions have been updated. Note, adoptables mentioned are planned for release after The Event.

The Field Guide now has Weyrs Info and the CRW Lore section now includes bards.

July 20th, The Event begins. Players interested in participating have now until the 20th to contact Verglas (ON DISCORD) and insert/create characters for The Event. Prompts and a timeline for The Event will be posted soon.

Once The Event concludes, we will be Opening the site to all and advertising, officially. At Long Last!

Get hype, and contact Staff with any questions! We are most available on the Discord, through our tumblr page, or the cbox on the site! We also have some other exciting news that could involve you - yes, you! - with some IC development for the site.

The time has come! We would like to invite member participation in the upcoming secret event. Please reach out to CRW staff, which include Verglas, Aru, BrandyTusk, and Gaelain with questions! If you are interested in any of the following roles, Verglas is going to be your point of contact for more information.

When someone famous dies, generally the whole world pop up and start to sing songs of their legend. Using their image as a face claim is basically branding them as a legend. How do deceased famous faces stay alive? By us LOOKING at them. They can no longer act in a movie, but they can play the lead role on your RP site. What a wonderful thing! Right?!

Well, no. As it happens, most people disagree with this for some reason. They see it as disgraceful, disrespectful, disgusting, treacherous! All right... if you view it that way, why don’t you see it the same way when you use living FCs? You are somehow suggesting that the very essence of using FCs to represent characters is abominable.

This small, unusual dwelling formed when the Weyrs of Pern agreed it was a good idea to establish an overflow destination when populations grew in the decades leading up to the 8th Pass of the Red Star. As the brigands of Kepler Hold began to make a name for themselves once again, tension clung to the riders and holders alike. The dragonriders of the so-called misfit Weyr had their jobs cut out for them as the 8th Pass began, and the future looked uncertain indeed. Canyon River Weyr is open for all! Come see what we have to offer and get in on the action of a unique Weyr! Please read our rules and information carefully so everyone is on the same page and we can all relax and have a good time here!

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried Discord RP. Unfortunately, I was never able to really get into them, or write much with my OCs.

Forums are just… such a superior platform to me (apart maybe for on the fly writing on your phone, but I can’t do anything qualitative like that).

I mean just look at what you can do, all using free coding template! No need to pay in order to have a tiny header on the side! All free!

Now that’s what I call immersion, and it’s honestly one of the most important part for me, it helps so much to project your characters into the universe created by the staff.
