This image of all the Royal Base Digimon (QueenBeemon, TigerVespamon, Vespamon, CannonBeemon, ForgeBeemon, Waspmon, and FunBeemon in the distance) attacking at once goes hard, not gonna lie.
Really is a good time to be a fan of bee Digimon.

Royal Base in the Digimon TCG is a deck that continues to fascinate me, every time I look at it, play it, and try to upgrade it, etc. It’s a Green/Black set of Insectoid Digimon that are also treated as Cyborgs. Yet it doesn’t act like typical Insectoids, Greens, Cyborgs, or Black Digimon. It’s an entirely fringe set of cards that march to the beat of their own drum. And while this sounds like an odd description, it does award them some rather unique advantages-
While most builds for Royal Base are focused on its Green side, mine is more Black oriented for the following reasons. BT9 Maki Himekawa is a Tamer that can search 2-color Black Digimon and reduce an evolution cost if a Digimon evolves into such a thing. BT7 Kota Domoto is another Tamer that can search for stuff upon playing him, but instead he grabs anything with the [X Antibody] trait and is also a Memory Setter. Reason why I bring these two up is because both P-181 Royal Base and EX5 X Antibody Proto Form are both yet more cards that can further reduce play costs. And the beauty of all of these cost reductions is-
They can stack with each other.
And it’s ALSO for this exact reason, that I’m playing BT15 Hagurumon; it can grab the Tamers along with any of the Lv.4 or higher Royal Base Digimon.
Note: FunBeemon itself isn’t a Cyborg, but you can still try to grab it with Kota/Maki, etc.
While I’m not claiming to be any sort of “”expert”” on Royal Bases, I just think it makes for a fun deck due to the fact it has access to more cost reductions then you’d typically expect~
