I drew Tangleburr recently, so I think it's in order that I draw her wife as well. So there she is - Yellowfang's sister, Cinderfur's and Stumpytail's mother, and unfortunately Clawface's mate. He died and went to hell though, so she can marry Tangleburr now :)
She was a super cute kit, more responsible and a bit calmer compared to her brother, Nutkit. Later, as a warrior and apprentice, she became kinda nosy, curious about Yellowfang's secrets and about the clan gossip in general. I love that about her, gossipy cats are super fun <3
She was close with her siblings, being worried about Yellowfang when she noticed that something was wrong and overall spending time with her a lot. She was supportive yet sad when Yellowfang became a medicine cat, feeling like she was losing her best friend. Yellowfang was still there, of course, but it just wasn't the same as being warriors together... Later, Rowanberry was also one of the few cats to support Yellowfang when she was banished.
She actually continues to be pretty reasonable, admitting that she was wrong about Russetpaw's and Boulder's warrior qualities, and feeling guilty for indirectly causing Cloudpaw to get injured. She also spoke up against Brokenstar when he banished the elders from camp.
She was Clawface's mate, but we never actually see them interact. I mean, they did in Tigerclaw's Fury, but... Clawface shouldn't even be alive by this point? He was supposed to die back in Fire and Ice, killed by Graystripe. He comes back to life only for Tigerclaw's novella, cause in Blackfoot's Reckoning he's dead again... So basically the only interaction Rowanberry had with her mate was actually a mistake and shouldn't have happened. Fun... But okay, if we pretend that it happened, they grieve the death of their son Cinderfur there, which is a pretty sweet scene. They seem to be broken up by this point though, probably due to Clawface's alignment with Brokenstar who Rowanberry openly opposed. She later warmly welcomes him back into ShadowClan though, so maybe they got back together? You know, if we assume that he's even alive at this point, which he shouldn't be... You could easily replace him with Stumpytail in this scene, making it a mother-son moment instead.
We never see her in any main series books, but according to Vicky she was an elder by the beginning of the second arc. We don't know if she participated in the Great Journey, though. If I were to guess, I would assume that she either died during the destruction of the forest, stayed behind with the other elders, or made it to the lake and eventually died there. But since we don't actually know and author statements alone aren't considered canon, it's also entirely possible that she died somewhere between the first and the second arc.
From all of her siblings, she resembles her father Brackenfoot the most, though still just a bit. She has a similar color scheme to his, though she's more brown based, while he's ginger. She has his point markings, but they're paired with a bunch of patches in the same colors. Everything else she got from Brightflower - her body type, flat muzzle, ear shape, the white markings, eye color - all of it.
