i had one of my routines broken today 😔

I do not have it in me to do it everyday, but when I wake up early and eat a good breakfast, get dressed, and take care of shit as soon as I get ready for the day, I literally feel unstoppable.

Miles groaned in response to Phoenix’s voice, wanting to bury himself in his pillow.
“Come on, sleepyhead. It’s time to get up. I know you’re not a morning person, but we can’t sleep in today.”
Miles felt tempted to argue with him but knew better than to do that. He blearily turned to look at him before saying, “Neither are you…”
Phoenix chuckled. “I know. Believe me, I want to sleep in too. But alas, we are grown adults who have responsibilities to take care of.”
It took a few more minutes but they eventually dragged themselves out of bed and set about with their morning routine.
This was, in all honesty, one of their favorite parts of their lives together. Phoenix loved brushing his teeth while Miles showered. And Miles loved getting dressed while Phoenix styled his hair.
They were both so intimately involved with the others’ routine that it had become a quiet comfort to them as they finally ventured downstairs to get some breakfast.
Since they didn’t have the time to make a big meal, they settled on some toast and oatmeal for Miles, and cereal and coffee for Phoenix.
“So, what’s our agenda for today?” Phoenix asked him.
“Mostly just paperwork. Unless a last-minute case comes up, we should have a normal day without any rushing around.” Miles replied.
“Good.” Phoenix smiled at him.

My daily routine has changed a lot because of this heatwave. Due to the big heatwave we've been having, I've been unwilling to go lay down upstairs, listening to music while a fan blows at me. I've avoided doing this, and I've thereby had to change my whole routine. My routine has changed, and yet I've realized that I can still somewhat handle it. I can handle not going upstairs, which is proof to me that routine isn't fully necessary to me. I like having it, but I'm okay and can manage without it. I feel weird going without it, but I can go without it.
I'm pulling the muscles in my legs, making myself uncomfortable seemingly just because I know of nothing else to do. I don't know how to explain it, but I don't feel great. I've been feeling moody and depressed all throughout this damnable heatwave. I just feel uncomfortable, and my stomach keeps acting up. I keep feeling that urge to masturbate, I keep feeling stressed or depressed, I keep just feeling drained.
I still want to get back to my routine sooner than later. But with thunderstorms apparently on their way to replace the massive heat waves...well, I think there's a good chance I begin using headphones whenever I go upstairs and resume my evening routine. That might lead to my routine still not fully going back to normal, but I also don't think I can handle listening to music quietly while I also hear a thunderstorm booming overhead. So yeah, I expect it'll take a while to get my routine back to normal. If it ever goes back to normal, considering my sensitivity to storms and my deep moodiness and everything.
