Round 9 of the One Direction Big Bang has officially wrapped up!

We want to thank all of those involved in making this a successful round! Our artists, authors, betas, cheerleaders, (our one tireless mod who knows how to code a spreadsheet like nobody's business) --

And last but not least, everyone who's taken the time to read, comment, compliment, add gushing tags in posts-- this is a thank you to you as well! You're a bright and vibrant part of what makes this bang worth it!

However this fandom community rises and falls over the years, whatever we've weathered and have yet to weather, we value so much anyone who has ever touched this fest, contributed to this fest, or loved our creators in any way.

Round 9, Match 1 — Lemuen (Arknights) vs. The Nowhere King (Centaurworld)

Lemuen propaganda:

Lemuen is an ambulatory wheelchair user who was an npc for a good few years before becoming playable just this year. Her wheelchair was redesigned in this process to be based on a sports wheelchair, and the 3d PV really showcases how much care was put into making her disability a primary focus of how cool she is. I can't really think of many video games having playable characters in wheelchairs who are treated with as much care and dignity in their design and writing as their able bodied peers. She's also incredibly pretty and her artist (IRIS_口艺) was insane for making those boots.

Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust

He couldn’t ever really explain where his love for Peter Pan had come from. The film, obviously, had been a cornerstone of his childhood, but Peter had been the first character he’d met back in 2002 with his Mum and Gemma, and that had seemed to have a imprinting effect on him – ever since then, he’d been almost obsessed. His first tattoo (of a great many) was the silhouettes of Peter, Wendy, John, and Michael in flight, led by Tinkerbell towards the second star to the right, snaking up around his arm (his mum wasn’t exactly happy about it, but she’d had to admit that the design and execution were beautiful). Harry took a deep breath as the last people in front of him stepped forward. He’d done meet and greets hundreds of times over the years, but Peter Pan was always the one that made him nervous; a fact that he knew was a bit ridiculous, but one that thankfully, no one he cared about ever made fun of him for.
