📐We’ve just delivered an advanced manufacturing feasibility study for Sellafield Ltd—in partnership with Bloc Digital—using 3D visualisation + immersive VR to help de-risk and optimise a proposed Final Assembly Line (FAL) concept before any physical build takes place. 🥽
🏭Why it matters: Sellafield’s programmes require 35,000+ stainless-steel waste containers across multiple variants, so the ability to validate layout, workflow, throughput and constraints early can be a game-changer for safe, efficient delivery. ✅
🤝This work was delivered through the LINC with Sellafield Ltd scheme, bringing together Rotex’s engineering design, analysis, manufacturing evaluation and optimisation with Bloc Digital’s VR modelling to support decision-making in a highly regulated environment. 🔍
⚡Next up: Phase 3—further VR refinement to improve assembly time & throughput, early concepts for bespoke tooling/equipment, location analysis, and a full health & safety review to support a clear roadmap toward implementation. 🦺
