Kay Kāvus on his flying throne, illustration from a Persian Shahnameh manuscript, 1674.
Kay Kāvus is a legendary king of Greater Iran in Persian mythology and a central character in the Shāhnāmeh. He is the son of Kay Qobād, the father of Seyāvash, and the grandfather of Kay Khosrow, who eventually succeeds him. He rules Iran for 150 years, often relying on the hero Rostam to rescue him from the consequences of his reckless decisions.
One of his most famous legends is the Flying Throne, a wooden and golden throne lifted by trained eagles attracted to meat attached above it. Kay Kāvus uses it in an attempt to fly to China, but the eagles tire, causing the throne to crash. Rostam later rescues him.
According to the Bundahishn, Kay Kāvus also built five magnificent mansions of gold, glass, and steel. These were said to contain miraculous springs that restored youth and granted immortality.
The historian Al-Masudi recounts another legend in which Kay Kāvus builds a tower to challenge God and later invades Yemen. He is captured by King Chammar, but after four years is freed by Rostam, who defeats Chammar. Kay Kāvus returns to Persia with Chammar's daughter Sodâ, who had secretly helped him during his captivity.
Modern historian Dariush Zolfaghari interprets Kay Kāvus as more than a mythical ruler: in the Shāhnāmeh, he symbolizes the defense of Iranian cultural identity, political legitimacy, and national heritage, with his reign illustrating that warfare is as much about preserving civilization as conquering territory.
Mondstadt is panicking at Varka being kidnapped by Boreas along with Razor and an unknown (who looked remarkably like the Wolf Pup from what few surviving records they have). Those not in the know are confused by Venti keeps on bursting out into cackles.
Meanwhile, Varka is being introduced to his legendary predecessor who’s panicking because his pregnant partner is about to give birth. Razor is just going along with what his lupical wants. He’s excited to be a pack uncle.

Poor Thrain!MC! Bet he ends up just sneaking off in the middle of the night, borrowing a mount once he’s out of Natlan to get to Zandik. Rosalyn and Rostam are generally safe, but their unethical scientist is most decidely not. He’s also unsupervised, which is never a good idea.
I’d say Pantalone gets to Zandik before Thrain!MC and walks in on him on a research binge: sleep-deprived, messy appearance, head buried in stacks of papers. Zandik notices him and calls him “his banker” before immediately being smothered in a hug. The scientist is not escaping that hug anytime soon.

Rosalyn/Rostam's child is gonna be the most spoiled 'pup' in all of Snezhnaya + Mondstadt, I can already feel it. And aw~ Razor's excited to be pack uncle, and Varka... well, he's still very confused but happy to be here.
And YES! Zandik might not remember everything, but it only took once glance at Pantalone to know, oh, this man was HIS banker.
...Now if only his banker can let go and give him some air causing all this emotional stuff like hugging is making it very hard for him breath-

early harbinger days were probably hell for all of them but especially rosa
Only that maiden's clear voice, Could cause the guardian's brow to come unbound.
Their time together was short. At last, the knight's blood would run dry, As would her tears and her songs.
what if
what if newbie knight himbo Rostam
AU where Rostalyne met before Rostam became the Master of the Knights of Favonius, because I like to imagine he was a lovable hopeless romantic type idiot before his time as a knight began to wear his soul down.
and I think Rosalyne would've been just barely able to hold herself back from pouncing on this dumbass
