awww this is literally so so cute! š„¹ i can absolutely imagine going on a hunt for the perfect watch for him for MONTHS in advance and you're so secretive about it. he tries to be nosy at first and he quickly figures out that he's not getting it out of you. when you finally give it to him for Christmas (one of the many gifts because you both love to spoil each other) his face splits into such a wide smile!! he doesn't even notice the inscription until you tell him to turn it around, at which point he tears up lol because he loves it so much <3 i think he would love the fact that it's personalised and something he can have on him at all times. and imagine him wearing it on tour every single day when you're not with him :( the only time he takes it off is when he's in the shower and when he goes to bed. he's so used to running his fingers on the inscription on the back now.

the little grooves and indents in it are so familiar to him now and rubbing his thumb on it grounds him and comforts him when you're not there to do it :(

Ok so in my mind youāve been on a few dates just seeing where it goes, but letās be honest youāre both down bad for each other and you end up back at one of your places making out on the couch and Rossās hands start lifting your shirt and heās like āis this okā, of course youāre like YES so you make your way to the bedroom and just really talk your time with each other worshiping each other and finding what you like. And itās just perfect
hii im just taskmaster watcher and don't really know much of the contestants outside the show, whats the deal with john robins? you mentioned in a post they caught him in a "good" time, what would a bad one be like? is the lad depressed or something? curious
basically heās a man who has publicly talked about his poor mental health - itās a topic on his radio show, most of his stand up shows are based around it too. heās mentioned he talks about it to break down the stigma around mental health and has also got another podcast around it (called āhow do you cope?ā with him & fellow comedian elis james, VERY good!!)
so saying that they caught him at a āgoodā time is pretty much just saying they filmed it during a period where his mental health wasnāt at a decline. heās a VERRY competitive bloke by nature, and gets wound up and shouts a lot when he doesnāt win at things, and he wasnāt really like that on taskmaster, he was quite upbeat and chirpy (even though it might not seem that way)
also referring to āsober johnā is basically referring to the current him who has been sober from 2022 (he is recovering from alcoholism), so during his podcast with comedian elis james, they talk about how if he had filmed taskmaster pre-sobriety he wouldnāt have coped with anything well at all. so in conclusion heās never labelled his mental illness as anything (itās definitely high functioning anxiety) but yeah
