STEVE DOESNâT USUALLY DO THINGS LIKE THIS. Okay, thatâs a lie, he definitely does. But, he usually doesnât get this NERVOUS about it, is what heâs meaning. The old Steve would never care about a GIRL this much- before Nancy, heâd basically had no cemented feelings. After Nancy, he didnât know if he would have any MORE- but then heâd met Lizzie, & thank God, but theyâd come back. & he must really love Lizzie a lot- more than he thought he could. Because Steve Harrington doesnât get butterflies, or butterfingers, doesnât fuck up orders at work. But he does when heâs thinking about LIZZIE. âCause his head always goes back to LIZZIE.Â
His breath pools in the air as he stops his car across the street from her house, lifting a hand to push back his hair, peer out the window, see if her parents are home. Well- of COURSE THEY ARE, but he knows that they donât pay a ton of attention to her, so he figures that maybe the night will hide him WELL ENOUGH. Stepping out, he glances around one more time before jogging across the lawn & vaulting himself ( as quietly as possible ) up onto the roof of her garage, below her room. He leans up towards the window & knocks. Itâs open slightly, so he calls inside in a whisper-yell.
â LIZ. PSST. HEY, LIZ. YOU OWE ME A HUG. â
