Summary: When Rorschach is arrested and sent to prison, the world sees a murderer behind bars. You see your husband.
The first time you entered the prison, every eye followed you. Some even recognised you.
âThatâs his wife.â
âPoor thing.â
âBet she didnât know.â
You kept your head high, becuase you knew, they don't know Walter. The guard stopped outside the visiting room.
âYouâve got thirty minutes.â
You nodded. Your hands trembled anyway. Not because of Walter. Because of everyone else. You knew exactly who filled these cells.
Murderers.
Rapists.
Gang leaders.
Men your husband had personally dragged into police custody over the years. Men who had sworn revenge.
The steel door buzzed open.
Walter stepped inside wearing the coarse orange prison uniform.
Without his mask. Without the shifting inkblots that hid his face.
Every single time you saw him without it, your heart ached.
His red hair was untidy. Bruises coloured one cheek. His lip was split.
He looked tired. So very tired.
But when he saw youâŚ
Something changed, only for half a second. The hardness softened, not enough for anyone else to notice, but it was enough for you. You stood before you could stop yourself.
âWalterâŚâ
He sat down.
âSo you came.â
âIâll always come.â
âShouldnât.â His eyes searched yours.
âWhat?â You frowned.
âPeople watching.â
âI donât care.â
âTheyâll use you.â
âI donât care.â
âI care.â
You reached across the table. For a moment, he simply stared at your hand, Walter had never been good with affection in public.
Even after years of marriage. Slowly⌠his scarred fingers rested over yours.
âYou shouldnât be here,â he muttered.
âIâm exactly where I belong.â
For a moment, there was silence, then you looked at him more.
âYouâve been hurt.â
âIt's nothing.â
âWalter.â
âThey tried.â
ââŚWho?â Your stomach tightened.
He shrugged.
âEveryone.â
âI knew this would happen.â You felt sick.
âTheyâre cowards.â
âTheyâre dangerous.â
âTheyâre criminals you arrested.â
âTheyâre criminals.â
âI know you didnât kill him.â You leaned forward, Walter looked at you.
âYou believe that.â
âI know it.â
âWhy?â
The question surprised you.
âYouâve never lied to me.â
âIâve hidden things.â
âNot the important ones.â
âYou know what I am.â His eyes drifted down.
âI do.â
âNot good man.â
âI disagree.â He gave the smallest shake of his head. âBroken.â
âMissed you.â His expression became serious again. The words were so quiet you almost didnât hear them. Your heart broke.
âYou did?â
ââŚYes.â He looked annoyed with himself.
âI missed you too.â
âApartment quiet?â
âToo quiet.â
âCat?â
âStill ignores me.â
âHm.â
âHe sits by the window every evening.â Walter looked away. âHe waits for you.â
Silence. You knew what he was thinking. He would never admit it, but he missed that cat. Even if he insisted the creature merely tolerated him.
You reached into your handbag.
âI brought something.â
The guard immediately stood.
âNo objects.â
âItâs just a photograph. It was checked beforehand.â
After checking it thoroughly, again, he allowed it. Walter accepted it.
It was a picture of your sitting room. The cat asleep in Walterâs old chair. Blanket folded over the arm. His journal still on the table where heâd left it.
Home.
His thumb brushed over the edge of the photograph.
ââŚLooks the same.â
âIâve left everything exactly as it was.â
He stared at it for a long moment, then folded it with extraordinary care.
âYouâll keep it?â
âYes.â
âItâll remind you what youâre coming home to.â
âYou think leaving.â Walter looked up sharply.
âI know youâre leaving.â
âTheyâll try to keep me.â
âWeâll prove youâre innocent.â
âNo.â
âYes.â
âNo evidence.â
âWeâll find it.â
âYou shouldnât waste your life.â
âMy life is with you.â
His jaw tightened.
âYou deserveâŚâ He stopped but you finished for him.
âSomeone normal?â
He nodded once, but you laughed.
âI married a man who wears a mask made of moving ink.â
He almost looked offended.
âItâs fabric.â
âI know.â
âYou chose this.â
âI chose you.â
His eyes closed. As if hearing those words hurt more than any punch heâd received.
âYou shouldnât love me.â
âI do.â
âYou donât understand.â
âI understand more than you think.â
âIâve done terrible things.â
âYouâve done necessary things. Youâve saved people. Youâve protected children. Youâve given everything for justice.â
âNo compromise.â
âI know.â
âI wonât.â
âI know.â
Even if it kills me.
He didnât say those words. He didnât have to. They hung between you. The loudspeaker crackled.
âVisiting time ends in two minutes.â
âSo soon?â
Walter stood up from his chair.
âIâll come next week.â you said.
âDangerous.â
âIâll still come.â
âThey may follow you.â
âIâll still come.â
âThey could hurt you.â You walked around the table before the guards could stop you.
âWalterâŚâ
One guard sighed.
âMake it quick.â
You wrapped your arms around your husband.
For the first second, he froze.
Unused to being held. Then his arms enclosed you with surprising gentleness.
Carefully. As if you were something fragile. He buried his face against your hair. You heard him breathe. One long, shaky breath.
âI love you,â you whispered.
He said nothing.
For a moment.
ââŚKnow.â
You smiled through tears.
âAnd?â
His voice cracked.
âI love you too.â
It sounded painful, like the words had fought their way through walls built over decades.
You kissed him. The guards separated you. Walter never looked away.
Not once.
Until the steel door closed between you. That evening, back in his cell, another inmate sneered.
âYour little wife still thinks youâre a hero.â
Walter sat on the edge of his bunk. Carefully unfolding the photograph.
Looking at the little apartment.
The waiting cat.
The home that still believed in him. His voice was calm.
âShe knows truth.â
The inmate laughed.
Walter folded the photograph and slipped it safely inside his prison Bible.
For the first time since entering prison⌠The cell did not feel quite so empty.
Because somewhere beyond concrete walls and iron bars⌠You were waiting.
And Walter Kovacs had never broken a promise to come home.

Characters: Adrian Veidt, Edward Blake, Laurie Juspeczyk, Dan Dreiberg, Doctor Manhattan, Walter Kovacs
Note: Sorry for going on hiatus (again), this took me longer than I should also you can all guess which character is my favorite lmao This is based on and inspired by @anxiousnerdwritings watchmen concept (please check them out, they are one of my favorite fic writers)
No one really knows what kept them as a team. It was a disaster from the get go; something that shouldâve died on the first night. After all nothing matters with a nuclear war on the horizon, and yet somehow, by some miracle, they managed to stand each other long enough to function as a team to the public eye. Maybe they owed some all of that to you; some new vigilante who showed up â all bright-eyed, hopeful, believed in truly helping others.Â
You werenât exactly welcomed with open arms. Only getting a curious side-eye from the Ozymandias himself. Laurie was skeptical, raising her brow. You just seemed so out of place, that she almost wanted to ask if you were in the right place. Manhattan barely acknowledged your existence, Rorschach didnât either â if anything, he didnât think youâd last a week. And the final nail in the coffin? The comedian mocked you first thing.Â
Dan was the first to truly notice you. He felt and resonated with the same awkward spark he once had when he just started. There was something about you that made Dan want to protect you, to guide you. He couldnât understand nor explain it, but seeing that excited look in your eyes, your wide smile; it was in that moment he made a secret promise; nothing would ever happen to you. He even vouched for you to the rest of the team, believing in what you can do.Â
Laurie soon followed after. Part of her wanted to avoid you entirely, You were a disaster waiting to happen. But she justâŚcouldnât. She didnât know why she kept drifting towards you, why she entertained your conversations, why she even cares. Maybe it was the ping of loneliness she felt, and you were always there to listen, to give her the comfort she needed. Laurie didnât expect to be this attached to you. She didnât know why she was filled with so much worry whenever you walked out the door.Â
Both Dan and Laurie immediately took notice of each otherâs fondness for you. They both did always hover over you. Anyone would expect jealousy or some tension, but surprisingly they worked together well. Their priority was your safety and well-being. The only thing they did disagree on was whether they should let the others in.Â
Of course Ozymandias notices. He always notices. He watched Dan and Laurie trail after you as if they were your shadows. Wondering what could youâve possibly done to charm them and so quickly at that. Thatâs when his attention turned to you, watching you now more closely. Taking notes of you in meetings, in patrols. You seemed naive, undeniably so, but there was something else he saw. Potential, and having that in a manâs hand like him is a very dangerous thing.Â
Adrian lets his growing interest in you be quite obvious to Dan and Laurie. He didnât bother hiding it; they will figure it out eventually, might as well pull the curtains early. He, too, had your best interests in mind, though his definition of it can be argued. In truth, if it was up to Adrian, he would never let this whole debacle go through. But, heâs willing to share you with Dan and Lurie for now, he is just biding his time. He thinks these two will simply drag you down.Â
A shock to everyone â team included â was the realization that the Doctor Manhattan seemed fond of you. He watches and watches. There are questions that not even a presence of a god can answer nor could science and it was why he found you fascinating. It wasnât immediate, it was slow, it was gradual. He took notice of how you affected the others, the emotional turbulence your very existence was. He saw your life branching in every direction â he knows your happiest moments, your sorrows, your fears, your eventual end.Â
Yet, in the most strangest turn of events, Jon wanted to be, no stay near you. He felt connected to you; strongly at that. He knew he was losing touch with humanity, tired of people, tired of their problems. But you â you were the thinnest thread tethering him to it. He simply tolerates the others, willing to play along their illusions of a united front, fully aware they are all hypocrites, just as destructive as the other. Unless your life was in danger, he wouldnât intervene as much. You have a being that closely resembles a god protecting you.Â
Rorschach, as said, didnât only openly dismiss you. It almost felt like he hated your very presence. He didnât see it at first. What could you have done to make the smartest man in the world and the most powerful being on Earth to be so fixated? Even for Laurie and Dan. Why do they care so much for you? Dan even offers Rorschach to give you a chance. A suggestion Laurie fought him on. Rorschach is the last person she wants near you, more frustrated that Adrian didnât share her concerns. Truthfully, Adrian didnât even consider him a competition.
Rorschach will insist he doesnât care; not even a waterboard could force a confession. He wasnât suspected at first. You assumed he disliked you for the longest time, his refusal to be as involved only reinforced your initial belief. But his obsession grew in silence. Somehow, Rorschach knew more about your daily life than you did. He stalked you whenever he could. Your name is mentioned a few times in his journal. Any creep in an alleyway or a bully in your day to day didnât stay around long. Dan was the first to catch on, and the two formed an unspoken agreement to keep each other updated.Â
The biggest headache to the team came in the form of the Comedian. Eddie wasnât even considered a member at this point. He mocked the idea from the very beginning, could give a shit on what went on in meetings, this whole PR stunt. And while you could call Ed many things, oblivious wasnât one of them. He was annoyingly perceptive; noticed there was a shift, a change in the air. The way everyone seemed to circle you as if they wereâŚguard dogs.Â
Eddie used to love making you uncomfortable; dismissive, even outright crude, betting on how long youâd last before ending up dead in an alley. But it came to a point in time when even a simple joke about you had the entire team turning on him. Even Rorschach tensed up. Even Manhattan, a being Eddie believed no longer cared, narrowed his gaze.Â
Eddie slowly saw something in you that may have reminded him of himself â your stubbornness, your sharpness. He was the last to warm up, and the team almost misses the days when he was cruel. Because whenever he saw in you, no one really knows. A team he once scoffed at, a failed publicity stunt, a joke he didnât want to partake in. Suddenly had him showing up, his presence becoming almost expected though he always had an excuse ready. He is too prideful to admit it was you, that he is starting to care for you as much as the others did.Â
The team, as said, are quite unstable. You are the glue holding them together, whether you want to be or not. Yet there are still cracks, deep ones, that not even their shared care for you could fully mend. Dan suggests they actually try to make this work for your sake with Adrian and Laurie backing him up. They are better together than being at each otherâs throats. So at least to the public, to you, they must seem and act like theyâre on the same page. The first months go okay, but asking a bunch of violent masked vigilantes plus a god-like being to get along is like trying to demand the sun to rise in the west.
Laurie tries to convince you to give up the vigilante life. She believes sheâs not like them in that she truly wants the best for you; no costumes, no blood, no late nights. The others do agree but in silence. Dan would never say it out loud. Last thing he wants to do is upset you. Adrian pretends to be on your side, tells Laurie itâs your decision, even offering to improve your gadgets and costume.
But Adrian sees no issue in forcing you to give up the mask even if it means orchestrating a scene, traumatizing you if it came to it. Though he wonât set these plans forth. Dan and Laurie are too soft hearted to agree on such a thing. The only one truly on your side in the matter is Rorschach. Heâll mentor you, approving your wish to keep going. Heâll be with you in every step of the way, ensuring no harm comes upon you.Â
Dan and Laurie share the same desperate sentiment of wanting to be your everything. They want you to come to them first for anything. Laurie is the most openly affectionate. Sheâll hug, brush your hair, bring small gifts like perfume or bracelets sheâll think you like. Dan is the most attentive. Asking of your day, offers help with anything youâre struggling with â hell even an assignment due the next morning. Reminds you to take your medicine, to rest, to look after yourself even when you remind him youâre grown enough. Both are absolutely terrified of disappointing you, of you hating them. Even a simple âleave me aloneâ will have them spiraling.Â
Adrian spoils the hell out of you. He canât help himself. In his mind, you simply deserve the best. He is very much aware you are your own person with your own thoughts and emotions. However, he has already decided he is the best person to determine whatâs best for you. You are his responsibility now. So heâll insist you eat healthier, wake up earlier. There is so much to do in a day, you canât afford to waste such time. He trains you personally but heâll always remain superior to you, make you meditate with him, offering you books he expects you to read.Â
While forcing you to be your very best, Adrianâs also indulgent. Mention a book? Heâll bring it; first edition signed by the author itself. Mention a designer? Will have it personally shipped directly to you. Wish to visit somewhere like Paris or Italy? Heâll buy first-class tickets. Why not visit Turkey or Nepal too while weâre at it? Any universities youâre interested in? Ensures you are first on the waitlist. Appears as if heâs doing all of this out of the kindness in his heart, but heâs all smug about it with the others; what he can give you that none can.Â
Youâre unaware that every place you go; the headquarters, your apartments, even the spots you visit regularly has hidden cameras and microphones. Adrian doesnât reveal the full extent of his resources to the team and none of them can truly judge him when Dan does the same thing. Dan keeps a log on all your patrols, every street you walk, every place you stop at. For your safety, he justifies.
Adrian also keeps most of his findings to himself, even when you âdisobeyâ the rules. Choosing not to report just to seem like heâs on your side, making you more reliant on him. Dan struggles with keeping secrets; he lets things slip, things youâve told him personally to Laurie or Rorschach. He doesnât mean too, heâs just worried. Itâs why Laurie trusts him so much.Â
Laurie argues the most. All for your sake. Dan is too soft, too passive. The few times he ever raises his voice is when youâre in real danger, heâll even snap at Laurie or Rorschach. Laurie already canât Rorschach being near you. But the person she hates most, with every fiber of her being is the Comedian. Edward Blake. She didnât even consider him part of the team and now he thinks he can simply waltz back in the good graces of everyone. Like nothingâs changed. He lounges there like heâs a king on some throne. Has the nerve to nudge you, joke with you, letting the word âkidâ slip so easily from his lips. Her blood boils. You shouldnât be anywhere near such a vile man. Sheâs tempted to tell you everything heâs done.Â
Speaking of Eddie, he is still very much a violent, sadistic, selfish man. But against all odds, when it comes to you, he tries. Really tries. It almost comes off as awkward, heâs not good at these things. He tells you stories from his old missions, the cities heâs visited, the âglory daysâ, carefully removing anything too confidential. Edâs still cynical, still bitter with his tirades. He believes heâs teaching you something, toughening you up in this bleak world.Â
Youâre allowed to go on patrols, but never alone. Must always be accompanied, no matter how small it is. Simple cases; drug distributions or money laundering schemes are tightly controlled. The enemy could have a weapon. It could be an ambush. Trying to argue against this decision will go nowhere. Not even Ed, who doesnât give a damn about the rules, will budge. And there will be big trouble if you try to sneak out. First of all, it would be nearly impossible to get away. Either Ozymandiasâ security will alert him, perhaps caught by Rorschach on the rooftop, or worse met with Dan and Laurieâs crossed arms and their âI am not mad, I am just disappointedâ lecture. And if Ed finds you first, heâll just throw you over his shoulder and drag you back to the base.Â
There are also curfews you must follow. Usually assigned by Adrian and Dan. In fact, itâs both of them who work on a schedule so everyone gets a âfair amountâ of time with you. But when you break these curfews, Dan doesnât have the heart to ground you, those puppy eyes of yours has him feeling like he just committed a crime punishing you. Laurie, while furious, can't find it in her to stay mad for long, immediately wanting to make amends with you. And if thereâs a culprit who is the source of you breaking all those rules, itâs typically Ed.
Eddie loves getting on everyoneâs nerves, he plays the âfun uncleâ who lets you stay out late, who lets you take sips of his whiskey. Heâs really the very few who can make the Adrian Veidt be so close to his composure. His eye twitching cause he knows he did not just see Ed let you taste a drag of his cigarette. Eddie has no problem calling out the others, mocking them for pretending to be saints. He knows exactly who he is, knows all these fights and squabbles are less about protecting you, and more on who gets the upper hand on who.Â
Jon is another one who sees right through everyone. He sees the selfishness, the hypocrisy. Adrian preaches all about choice, yet every aspect of your life is tugged and tweaked as if youâre his little project. Dan pretends to be the most gentle, the shoulder for you to cry on, yet he infringes your privacy, hovering over you constantly. Laurie accuses the men of being overprotective, that she is nothing like them. Yet she needs to know every detail of your life. You made a new friend? Went somewhere and you didnât tell her? Didnât even ask her to come with you? Sheâll pout, acting as if youâve committed the biggest betrayal.Â
Rorschach will never comprise even in the face of armageddon. Yet Jon knows if it ever comes to it, heâll break every law, every bone. And the comedian, a man who thinks everything is a joke. Who laughs at the face of cruelty. Still, somehow believes youâre the exception; protecting you from men just like him. And Jon just lets it all happen. He too his own contradictions, claiming to lose care for human life, for humanity itself. He sees your future, lets nature run its course, but he will interfere just to keep you staying a little longer.Â
The only time Jon intervenes is when the fights get really bad. When everyone is at each otherâs threat. Adrian trying to reason goes in deaf ears, Dan begging them not to fight, Laurie and Edâs voices are loud, Rorschach interjecting whenever he sees fit. Jon can see you getting overwhelmed. He has let the circus play go long enough, warms them once but no one hears him. Suddenly a flash of blue and youâre gone. He takes you somewhere alone, isolated; Mars, the Arctic. Jon only brings you back because you ask him to. The others hate it. It reminds them at the end of the day, if Jon really wants to, they could lose you and they are powerless to do anything about it.Â
As said before. Most of them canât tolerate each other and for everyoneâs sake and sanity; thereâs an unspoken schedule for every member to spend some alone time with you.
Laurie absolutely jumps at any chance to spend any time with you. She has been groomed for the superhero life since she was a little girl. As a teen, her only company were men much older than her in costumes. With you, she treats it like a big sleepover, watching very badly acted movies, eating popcorn with face masks and all. She will gossip with you till sunrise if you let her. Laurie also loves taking you on shopping sprees; rolling her eyes every time Veidt offers to put everything on his card.Â
Jon indulges you. Heâll sit beside you on the couch and watch whateverâs on the TV, even when he finds it all monotonous. Jon will appear randomly at times, sometimes giving you a silent heart attack. Jon never minds when you ask questions, no matter if they are thoughtless even as he works. Your voice is soothing and your curiosity is endearing.Â
Rorschach tells the others not to include him, but alas to no oneâs surprise he still partakes. No you wonât be at some dinner table, no he wonât ask about your day. Most often, you are sitting together usually on rooftops, eating takeout from across the street. Youâre one of the few he lets talk freely. You think heâs not paying attention, but he listens more than he speaks. For how he is, you secretly know he cares more than heâll ever let on. Rorschach keeps any newspaper clippings that mention you. His closest attempt of awkward comfort is when he says âgoodâ when youâve done well or some snack he leaves at the table; his way of reminding you to eat.Â
Dan loves any moments he gets to have with you. Heâll show you his old tech, have you sit in Archie. Even designs a little co-pilot seat just for you, teaching you how to maneuver it. At his place, he makes sure everything is comfortable to you. Blankets? Warm tea? Music he specifically bought because he knows youâll like it? Check, check, check. Dan is so charmingly awkward, itâs impossible not to open up to him. Unlike Rorschach, he'll ask about your day, whatâs bothering you? What are your plans for college? He can help you with anything, just ask him.Â
Spending time with Ed is basically playing a spinning wheel and seeing where it lands. He might drag you to a bar; the calmer ones, though the whole team is pissed. If thereâs a pool table, heâll insist on teaching you. Other times youâll end up crashing on the couch beside him as he drinks, the place smelling of tobacco smoke. Watching the daily news on the tv or some game. Ed will even let you choose a movie that you like. Heâs much more relaxed than heâd like to admit. He can pretend not to care, but those moments with you make his whole week.Â
Adrian delights in nothing more than spending time with you. Clearing his whole schedule and if up to him, the team wonât see you for days. Heâll have you meditate with him, and yes he can tell when you peek. Adrian loves it if you have any artistic hobbies. You paint? Heâll buy you every type of brush, canvases and with all the colors one needs. If you want to travel, Italy or Paris, heâll book the flight that same day. Why not make a stop to Turkey or Norway along the way? Adrian secretly loves showing you off, having you attend charity events or galas; dressed just as nicely beside him. Beyond all the gifts in the world, what he loves most is conversing with you. He could speak to you for hours and hours if the universe allows it (sometimes you suspect he loves the sound of his own voice). Heâll ask endless questions; art, philosophy, history. He wants to know exactly how your mind works.
Hollis and Sally would absolutely adore you. Hollis heard nothing but good things from Dan. The way Dun gushes about you, how could he not like you? It was about time he got to meet you. The three of you end up sitting together as Hollis tells you stories of his early days. Now imagine his shock when he finds out the comedian, of all people, is fond of you. Laurie meanwhile, talks to you constantly to her mother. She doesnât mean to, but when her mom asks how things are going, Laurie just has to bring you up. By the time you meet her, youâre already adopted to the Jupiter family. Sallyâs the type to squeeze your cheek and gush over you.Â
When the Vietnam war happens, both the Comedian and Dr. Manhattan are deployed. Ed, being Ed, doesnât give a heartfelt goodbye. Just tells you heâll be back and you better take care of yourself, alright? The rest of the team immediately takes advantage of him being gone, they get more time with you. You could only watch the news, anxiously hearing the stories, the horrors that are happening from afar. When they finally return, Ed acts like nothing happened. Slinging an arm around your shoulders insisting you both âcatch upâ. Jon, on the other hand, returns more quieter and detached than usual.Â
Adrian has a bit of a dilemma. Revealing his identity would mean retiring from vigilantism. Losing his place as the teamâs leader which means losing direct access to you. The teamâs already fragile hierarchy would collapse without him. He delays it as much as he can so when Adrian does finally act upon it, heâs sure that the team's dependency on him is secure. The team themselves know they need him; his resources, his connections and that he has your best interests at heart, which could be argued. And true to his prediction, they still run to him for answers.Â
When the police go on a strike and it plunges the street into chaos. You donât even get the chance to argue your case. Absolutely not. You are not allowed on the streets at all. Non-negotiable. Dan feels guilty, but even he wasnât on your side. There were already talks of an act in the making, Ed offhandedly mentions. All you can do is watch the riots unfold through the tv or from behind the windows, watching it pass like most things.Â
It feels like the calm before the storm. The air feels heavy. There is talking of a war happening between the Soviet Union and the United States. Vigilantes are being hated more each day and the government is succumbing. Jon, still gentle, still protecting, seems to be slipping further and further away. Rorschach is growing moreâŚ.extreme even Dan canât seem to defend whatever heâs becoming. Ed disappears for long periods of time. Work overseas, he calls it. As much as the team tries to shield you, Dan and Laurie pretending as if everything is fine. You werenât as naive as they wanted you to be; you knew of Edâs favors, the threat of nuclear war, the very threat of vigilantism ending.Â
And Adrian? He still has his vision. His dreams of utopia. And he intends to make you the very center of it. Youâll live in a better world, a hopeful future, where you worry of running late and traffic jams rather than worry if youâll live the next day. There are set-backs, but nevertheless. They are obstacles he can easily dispose of, all except the Dr. Manhattan. His attachment to you is something Adrian must equate. Ensuring that Jon leaves this earth without dragging you along. In the end, Adrian accepts the possibility of you hating him for what heâll do. Adrian doesnât want it. Rather avoid that possibility altogether. But he knows one day youâll understand him, share his vision. After all, in the world heâll create, youâll only have him. Itâs inevitable that the hate will dissipate and youâll forgive him in time.Â
hii can i request a smut for rorschach?? this fandom is so dry rn đ
âá°. EVIL WAYS ⧠WALTER KOVACS
a/n: trying a new layout hopefully its cute !! i didnât know how kinky u wanted this so lmk đ
fem! villain! reader . . . mdni. porn w/ no plot tbh. clothes ripping. degradation. piv sex. nipple play. creampie. no aftercare. idk rorschach is just mean in this.
YOU STOLE FOR fun. other villains knew it, heroes knew it. thatâs just who you were. you just didnât expect to come across him tonight. youâd fought the nite-owl, silk spectre, and many b-list heroes, but none of them irked you in a way rorschach did.
youâd have no chance of escaping him through physical prowess. it felt like he had the strength of a lion. instead, youâd have to evade him through flustering the masked man.
it was only a matter of time before schoolgirl kisses atop his mask just wouldnât do a thing.
âput down the jewelry,â the figure says among the shadows.
youâre right in the middle of plucking pearls from the safe of a socialite when rorschach makes his presence known. he takes in the sight of your skin-tight costume. heâs glowering under his mask, dressed like a slut.
you turn to him, musing, âi donât think so.â
then the chase begins. you leap through a window with the agility of a cat. itâs a small advantage at first, but rorschachâs grappling hook cancels it out as he moves faster across building to building. after a few minutes, heâs caught up, and it ends as quickly as it started.
âdonât move, y/n,â he growls, standing right in front of you.
âor what?â you coo.
he moves closer to you, hands in the pockets of his trenchcoat, and your hands find their way to the collar of his jacket. lustful, rorschach remarks darkly, she deserves punishment.
his left hand leaves his pocket and flashes a pair of handcuffs to you. he reaches for your wrist but your opposite hand curls into a fist and swings at him. rorschach backs up, freeing you.
he grunts, âyou really want to test me tonight? fine. youâre asking for it.â
he moves closer and pins you down on the rooftop. the iron grip rorschach has on your wrists is bound to leave marks. you try your best and use all your strength to lift up your hands or kick back, but to him, youâre just squirming prey.
the only reason his grip on you loosens is because of a long kiss pressed against his mask. he felt the outline of your lips move against his own, and his brows furrow.
âdonât move, slut,â rorschach groans before he rips the fabric covering your chest. your breasts spill out and heâs quick to put his mouth on your nipples, sucking and biting on them.
he justifies his haste with your clothing with your quickening heartbeat and the moan you made when he smacked your boobs, watching them bounce. one hand moves down to undo his trenchcoat, and you feel his growing hard-on pressed against your cunt. she wanted this, he tells himself.
âr-rorschachâŚâ you moan before his fingers make their way lower and lower.
he feels how soaked you are through your costume. thereâs a damp spot where your pussy is. he bites his lip under his mask.
âyou like it?â he asks, not bothering to stop.
you slowly nod, face red-hot now. your swift demeanor changed a long time ago. now, you felt so little under rorschach. he wastes no time tearing away the cloth covering your cunt.
never once does he let you see his face as he ravages you. the thrill of a stranger taking you was welcomed ecstasy. the sound of rorschachâs fly unzipping sends a shiver down to your core. he rubs the tip against your wet folds, milking your arousal.
âuse your words,â he asks, âwhat do you want?â
âyou.â
âgonna have to be a little more specific than that, doll,â he hums lowly as he grinds his dick harder against you.
âyour dickâŚâ you huff, âpleaseâŚâ
you begging has him whipped. rorschach immediately pushes past your folds and straight to your cervix. he bottoms out into you in his first thrust, causing you to clench down and furrow your brows at the sharp mix of pain and pleasure.
he starts picking up his pace, murmuring, âyou got a tight pussy on you. didnât expect that.â
you canât even retaliate. youâre too cock-drunk to talk back to rorschach. you watch as he looks from your pussy to your face, but thereâs no eye contact, no intimacy. just desperate sex on a rooftop for manhattan to hear your lewd cries as rorschach takes you.
his thrusts speed up and he groans, âyou want it inside?â
ây-yes,â is all you can stutter out as rorschach pounds into you harder now.
you wrap your legs around his hips as he thrusts, causing him to push deeper. it isnât long before rorschachâs groaning softly, spilling his cum into you in long ropes. you can feel every drop leaking from his tip before he pulls his dick out of you. he watches as pearly beads drip from your pussy, and he uses a finger to fuck it back inside of you before making you suck his fingers clean.
âstay out of trouble,â is all rorschach mutters before he zips his pants back up.
he takes one last look at you, breathing heavy with post-sex messy hair. youâre glowing, yet he leaves without any last words.
â đđđđđđđđ ; He has to show you how much he craves you.
â tags/warnings. rorschach x female reader. NSFW. pure porn, SOME plot. but mostly porn. incredibly self indulgent after watching watchmen and realizing theres no smut of this man? I had to do it myself. Kinda OOC. (Roryâs codependent in this). I wanted to write something a little more obsessive. Be prepared for more watchmen fics. WATCHMEN REQUESTS OPEN!! For all characters!! stalking, smut, unprotected sex, man handling, choking, groping, obsessive behavior, mild pseudo praise kink. AGRESSSSSIVE sex. Itâs Rorschach, what do you expect ! Heâs a warning by himself.
⍠âI like you when you take off your face. / I watch you taste it. / It drives me crazy, Just drives me wild.â Beauty School by Deftones.
You arenât sure what the two of you are.
Late nights, just like this. He stalks you, put bluntly. He follows you home, hands in pockets, weaving in and out of shadows. The night is dangerous. Full of sinners and whores. Scum.
But not you. No, youâreâŚpurer than the rest of them. Distilled. You remind him of Daniel. Naive. And you lack Danielâs skills in protection. You need to be careful, at all costs. Thatâs why heâs there. He watches silently, and eventually when youâre alone, heâll appear. He wonât knock, but heâll appear. You wonât know how. But he always does.
You arenât safe, not even now. Not in your apartment, door locked. No, youâre only safe with him. Next to him.
Your adrenline spikes when you turn on the light. There he is. Expressionless mask standing before you, staring right back into the nothingness. Your body jumps, and you force yourself to swallow the squeal in your throat.
He grunts to himself. He zones in on you, like a predator. Any other night youâd ask why, but you already know. From the way his jaw just barely clenches from underneath his mask. Heâs needy. As rough and rude as he isâŚWalter Kovacs will never fully dissapear. Not with you.
He needs to taste you. Know youâre here. Know youâre safe. Make you feel good.
You let your breathing slow, and your heart calm. When you realize what it is, what he wants, you canât help the smallest ghost of a smile on your face.
Okay, Rory, You think. Go on and have it.
Before you know it, heâs all tongue and teeth. Mask lifted up just above his mouth, kissing and licking and sucking on your neck. Heâs placed himself behind you, breathing you in. His hand starts around your neck, squeezing you breathless, holding you in place. He works his way down, eventually almost painfully grabbing onto you. You canât help the small string of noises that fall from your lips.
âI watch you when you sleep,â He says, voice hoarse as always. Blunt. He doesnât hide it. Youâre eyebrows furrow together, trying to focus. You should reprimand him, but you canât. Itâs who he is. âYouâre all I think aboutâŚDonât you dare turn away from me.â
His voice comes out in a growl, and you feel your body surge.
âWonât let go.â His hand traverses down to your core. He wastes no time, rubbing gentle circles through your clothing.
âIâm yours,â You say, to help him. Reassure himâŚease him. Help him down from this.
Almost involuntarily, at his words, his ministrations speed up. He needs to feel you, he needs more.
âShow me,â His words border on impatient. Demanding. But you see through them. Heâs begging. For trust, for loyalty, for proof.
You turn your head towards his, flipping yourself around. You connect your lips, letting his grip falter, only to tighten. Itâs raw, borderlining on feral. Itâs all desperation. This kiss is punishing. You donât know what for. His stubble scrapes your chin, breathing raggedly. His teeth skim your bottom lip.
Youâre surroundings blur as youâre moved onto the bed, pushed and laid out for him. Even though its dark, heâs guided you to your own bed. He knows this room as well as you do, and you donât even question it.
One last kiss is pressed to you, dizzying. A groan of his vibrates against your mouth as he trails down. Further and further and further, pressing wet and messy kisses across your chest and navel. Heâs hungry tonight. Heâs starving.
He practically rips your clothes off you. In one movement, youâre bare for him, and you shiver. You feel his hot breath against your clit, and he wears an expression akin to a snarl, before he roughly grabs your thighs. Impatient.
You didnât peg him for a tease, but it seems he knows what heâs doing. You know heâs never had anyone else before you. You think he just likes to see the way you shake underneath him. Knowing heâs the cause.
He presses only a few more tentative kisses to the inside of your thighs, before he lets out a huff, and his tongue connects with your pussy instantly. Like magnets. His tongue is rough against you, swiping up and down. His nails dig almost painfully into your thighs, and he pushes youâre whole body up into him and his mouth. Heâs feeding you to himself.
âRory-â you whimper out at the harsh move, legs lifted above his shoulders. He grunts in response.
âCloser.â Is all he says, unable to break away. He shoves you into him, and obscenities fall from your lips.
His hands come up around your legs, palming your breasts and thighs. Itâs all for you, for your pleasure. You can feel his praise, communicated through his tongue shoved in and out of you. The bundling of nerves in your stomach tightens. You canât see through his mask, how he watches your every move. The way your eyes glaze over. Him. All him. All because of him.
A yelp of surprise leaves you when he breaks himself away, boiling point reached. He flips you over on your stomach, ass up in the air. A guttural sound from him arises, and you feel his palm collide with your thigh. Coat long ago discared, muscular arms man-handle you upwards, angling you up to him.
You clutch the sheets hard, clawing for a tether. He shoves his cock into you in one movement. Animalistic. His hands hold onto your hips like a lifeline, and he wastes no time in pounding you into the bed.
You hear the mattress squeak and the headboard bang against the wall. You go to put your hand over your mouth to muffle your moans, but he roughly grabs your wrist before you get the chance, shoving it back down. You squeeze your eyes shut in the pleasure, pitying your neighbours.
âFeel,â He commands. And you do. âFeel me.â
You can hardly breathe, sprawled out for him. You donât know how you couldnât. His teeth grit as he bucks into you, pinning you down. He watches, mesmorized, as his dick slides in and out of your hole, dissapearing. Heâs kept himself from this degeneracy for so long. ThisâŚthis is weakness. But not with you. Never with you. Youâre different. Youâre his. And you feel better than anything he couldâve ever imagined.
Everytime you clench around him, he fucks you harder. Youâre sure youâll be bruised in the morning. You donât care.
âOnly me,â He repeats. He feels that strange, foreign feeling of ecstacy boil within him. Everytime he takes you like this is like an electric shock. Heâs beenâŚcelibate for so long. Heâll never tire of this feeling. His words break more than usual, both of you lost in complete pleasure.
With a low grunt, he pushes into you one final time, spilling his cum inside you. You feel him pump you full, hands gripping onto you that silently say hold still and take it.
This is him. Heâs bared himself to you. He needs you, over and over again. Heâs filled with guilt. Disgusted with himself. Somehow, it only makes him fuck you harder through your orgasm, as if chasing it all away. Nothing else matters. No one. No one but you.
When you both are dressed, he stands at the edge of the bed. Your body is worn, and sleep overtakes your body and mind easily. He wasnât lying. Heâll watch over you, all night. Every twitch of your body, every soft breath. He fantasizes about what he would do, to any criminal stupid enough to dare try to hurt you.
Youâre safe like this, he reaffirms. Only like this. Only with him.

Seen Dreiberg again with the girl. Insisted I call her "the girl." Grew up with her, considers her his beloved little sister. Stupid.
Even stupider to have told her he was Nite Owl. Dangerous, especially knowing she's a cop. I don't know why he trusts her.
As a good partner, I've been keeping an eye on her. Doesn't seem to intend to reveal his secret, but that doesn't mean she's not dangerous. May be afraid of being accused of complicity, because she kept the information for several years.
Maybe afraid of me too. Has already crossed paths with me several times in Dreiberg's kitchen. I felt that she hesitated the first time, and several times after, between running away, trying to stop me, and acting as if everything was perfectly normal.
Proof of her intelligence, no doubt. Pretty too. But she won't get me.
Rorschach's Journal, October 14, 1884.
The girl was at Daniel's when I came to get the leftovers from his fridge. Didn't ask any questions.
Maybe he told her I had his permission, or she knows it's useless to try to stop me. Didn't say anything, only wishing me a good evening to let me eat in peace. Didn't try to see under my face.
She smiled at me like I was an old friend. Only Daniel smiles at me like that. Must be trying to gain my trust, to strike at the best moment. Will stay vigilant.
Didn't like that smile. Not at all.
Rorschach's Journal, October 18, 1884.
Massive fire on main street.
Would have liked to help, but not in my power. And⌠My face was in one of the alleys behind the building, with the rest of my stuff. No way to get it, cops and firefighters everywhere. Despite the panic, they're keeping watch.
The girl was there. Taking care of crying children. Looked at me for a moment, like she recognized me. But she didn't smile.
Rorschach's Journal, October 19, 1884.
My face.
Someone took my face. Went to see where I left it when the fire was well and truly out and everyone had left. Nothing. Nothing else moved, the fire didn't get that far.
Feeling of emptiness. Wants to destroy everything.
Had to put on a mask to go see Dreiberg. The idiot didn't understand what the problem was, saying I could continue fighting crime with a new mask. Thinks the new one is better, less scary, and cleaner.
He apologized afterward.
Offered to ask the girl for help. Since she's a cop, she might have some information. Someone could have taken my face to the police station, like a trophy.
Not much hope.
Rorschach's Journal, October 23, 1884.
Daniel looked very proud of himself as he handed me my face. Silly smile, like him.
At first, he didn't want to tell me how he got it. Then he asked me to promise to stay calm. No way, so he didn't want to say anything. Had to end up promising.
Y/N, the girl. She was the one who took my stuff, during the fire.
I found it weird that she went into that alley, when there were much more important things to do.
After hesitating, Daniel asked me again to stay calm. Then he ended up admitting that Y/N knew me without my face. She didn't tell him more, just that she had seen me several times, and that she had understood.
Unintentionally, she had also seen where I left my face. Went to take it during the fire, to prevent it from burning or someone else from finding it. Wanted to go put it back afterwards, but had a lot of work, and no way to contact me.
Jumped out the window while Daniel was still saying that I had to stay calm.
Rorschach's Journal, October 31, 1884.
A lot of masks on the street, but not the right ones. Stupid children and adults looking for pleasure to satisfy their vices. At least tonight I could move around without attracting too much attention.
Haven't wanted to see Daniel since the incident. Nor Y/N.
No luck, was buying my newspaper at the usual kiosk when she passed behind me.
I looked at her, I don't know why, and she looked back at me, for a lot of reasons.
We stood there staring at each other in the middle of the street like two idiots.
Then she smiled, wishing me a good day before continuing on her way. Nothing else said, no questions, no physical contact, no reprimand or attempt to stop me.
Went to see Daniel to tell him that his "little sister" was stupid. He only noticed that I called her "Y/N", and not "the girl". Left him alone after eating two cans of beans.
...can you tell I like grumpy men with passion and a good heart? Or that I have a need to "save" said grumpy men and teach them how to love? Lol.
Themes I love:
Angst!!
Friends to lovers
Insecure male leads
"This isn't a funny prank." "It's not a prank!" "Of course it is. Why else would you kiss me?"
Men who really need a friend
Slow burn
Awkward sexual situations
The male lead apologizing for awkward sexual situation and the female lead surprising him by making it clear that she's into it.
F/M preferred for main couple
Awkward/anxious/socially inept male leads
Powerful/capable female leads
Reader inserts
Male lead feeling guilty for being aroused by the female lead
Male lead thinking the female lead would be disgusted if she knew he was into her
Masculine/tomboy female leads, especially if she has short hair, a deep voice, doesn't wear makeup, or dresses practically instead of fashionably.
Forced proximity
Traumatized men that need someone to help them learn to trust and feel safe
Virgin/inexperienced male leads
Short male leads (the shorter the better, no maximum. Short kings fuck better istg)
Male leads who are respectful of women
Themes I dislike:
Pregnancy and children
Established relationships (I enjoy the build up and the "will they, won't they?" and the butterflies and nervousness and awkwardness, established relationships and security just don't excite me)
Crossovers
Male leads being bad people (a little hurt/comfort is ok, but when the male lead is just straight up an asshole I'm out.)
Out of character
AUs that significantly change the setting or characters. Small canon tweaks and alternate endings are fine though. Just not usually a fan of "Regency AU" and such.
Poor grammar or spelling (I'm sorry it just pulls me out of the story if it's too obvious)
Helpless female leads
Extreme kink and rape/non-con, especially controlling power dynamics. Light sub/Dom is ok, but femdom is preferred in such cases.
Sexually aggressive male leads
Mature content welcomed! Innocent stuff is welcome too if well written but let's be honest, I'm here for the fantasy.
If you took the time to read all that and have any recommendations please send them my way!
I'm starting to feel like I'll have to get into writing if I want all my specific desires fulfilled đ
Watchmen characters with an s/o who wears men's clothing.
Daniel Dreiberg(night owl)
⢠Okay, this guy has seen you wearing men's clothes on many occasions.
⢠I was curious to know why you don't wear women's clothes.
⢠doesn't want to seem rude by asking you, he just wants you to explain it to him
Dan: Hey, can I ask you something?
y/n: sure
Dan: Why do you wear men's clothes?
Y/n: oh I just like it
⢠It's not his place to judge if that makes you happy, then it's okay.
⢠gives you clothes that you no longer wear or that are too small for you
⢠defends you if someone makes fun of you
Lauriel Jupiter( silk spectre)
⢠She is a liberal woman so she never bothered to ask why she was wearing men's clothes.
⢠It didn't bother him that you didn't wear women's clothes, because it's uncomfortable when men look at you with lust.
⢠She was curious about what he asked.
Laurel: Y/N honey, why wear men's clothes?
Y/N: Well, I like and find it uncomfortable to wear a dress.
⢠She saw how happy it made you and didn't complain.
⢠likes to accompany you shopping for clothes, helping you decide which one suits you best
Water Kovacs (Rorschach)
⢠This boy thought you were a man until he heard you talk and saw your long hair.
⢠I definitely thought you were a lesbian.
⢠He distrusts people a lot and thinks that you are hiding something from him.
Rorschach: Why do you dress like that? What are you hiding?
y/n: nothing, I'm not hiding anything
Rorschach: You're a woman, why don't you wear women's clothes?
y/n: because I like these clothes and have you seen how men look at women?
⢠well you had a good point, at least he's relieved that men don't see you as a piece of meat
⢠He stopped caring about how you dressed, he saw how comfortable you felt.
⢠If someone makes fun of you, believe me, they are a dead man.
⢠When you go out at night he takes care of you without you seeing him, he fears that there may be people who will hurt you because of how you dress and it makes him nervous.
