Obviously this isn't Mr. Crowley but it is this blog's creator and one of it's writers/admins,

I'm Shane, better known as Severely Mame.

My magical background started as a kid with a witchcraft obsession and growing up with the internet at my disposal. I would spend hours google-ing and reading everything I could on the topic. Then I would secretly buy books when I could and follow all the recipes and spells. But fell out of it for a long time until I moved to Beverly Massachusetts for college and stumbled into a little witch shop a few blocks from home and pretty much never left. In the store we primarily practiced voodoo in the New Orleans tradition. But all of our backgrounds were from other places, like Mr. Crowley is personally in my magical Family tree, only four degrees away from me. What I know and practice magically myself is a mixture of hoodoo and voodoo with a classic witchcraft twist every now and then. I don't limit the things I learn and mix together but these I just know. But my teacher, Jacqui Newman taught me from all different traditions so some thing I do I dont even know where they are from!

I do a lot with herb and root work but I am no expert, I do a lot with candle and spirt work even more. I do tend to practice primarily on my own but recently have stumbled onto quite a few witches in the Brooklyn area I enjoy being around. 

A lot of what I will end up posting about on here will be hoodoo, voodoo, satanism and whatever old witch moments i stumble upon (like the spells I will be upload from a book I have printed in 1971 with one run filled with all kinds of out dated spells)

But it is not only I who will be running this blog, our other writer is going to tell you about himself too!

It is inhumanly harvested to achieve invisibility. But also is said to have the ability to bring back a lost lover.

I havent seen much elaboration on the ability to bring back a lost lover, Catherine Yronwode just mentions it in her book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic: A Materia Magica of Afriacan-Ameriacn Conjure (which i suggest to anyone interested in hoodoo) And Catherine wrote this book learning from a multitude of different old practitioners so I do take her writings seriously.

Roots and Herbs is a little neglected right now but I am going to get back in the habit of writing for it. Maybe Mo will too? I also asked another fantastic witch to start adding his two cents so lets hope he joins in on the fun too!
