Player Task 003: Alternate Universe (Genderswap).

Efrain A. Crayhorn - Player Task 003 - Sci-Fi AU. Legally, Efrain never existed. He was once Aro Glynwarren, a sick street kid the business mogul and politician Eobald Crayhorn picked up in secret with promises of health and grandeur, but not anymore. Now he’s the “artificial” intelligence programmed into every Crayhorn Estate Hotel. He appears holographically anywhere, at anytime, within every Estate establishment. He offers hospitality, protection, and top-notch customer service to any paying tenant. With complete control of the automated buildings, a work of programming genius from Eobald, he’s the sole operator of the business. He knows, however, that somewhere he has a body. Not the real one, obviously as that one is long disposed of, but originally he wasn’t meant to be the perfect hotel host. Originally, he was going to be a soldier, his mind stuffed into a manufactured body of metal and silicone to serve a different purpose. If he can only find that body, hidden in one of the Estates by the now-dead Eobald, and change his own programming, he can finally escape his prison of hotel hospitality. 

I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. And I'll fear no evil because I'm blind to it all. And my mind and my gun they comfort me. Because I know I'll kill my enemies when they come.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell on this earth forevermore. Still, I walk beside the still waters, and they restore my soul.

But I can't walk on the path of the right because I'm wrong.

Mare Elitihne knows hardship. She left behind a comfortable Boston life against her family’s wishes to go west with the man she loved. They bought a little homestead and some land just outside the town of Rusthills NV, and made big plans for their future. Their first winter together influenza swept through the town and took over half the population, Mare’s husband included. Everyone expected her to sell the land and move back east, but she’d made a promise and she intends to keep it. 

We are going to do a very aesthetic based task for this one as we are going to explore your characters in alternate universes. To complete this task you may create a Pinterest board with separate sections for each of the categories below. If you don’t have Pinterest don’t worry, you may use any other moodboard website or even post photosets straight to your tumblr account.

As well as creating aesthetic boards I would also love to see any other form of media for each of the universes. I encourage everyone to make playlists, specific outfits, drawings, self-para’s or anything else you can think of!

For this task instead of the normal gold reward of 30gp for completing a player task from Perwinkleton’s Keep of Shops you will instead receive 10gp for each alternate universe category that you complete.

Player Task 003 - Noir Detective AU Vukasin Torashtai - Detective Butterfly

Basic Premise:

There is no justice in this cursed world, that was the lesson little Vukasin learned at the tender age of 12. It was ingrained in their brain, stamped besides the sight of their mother’s final smile. 

They were brought into the orphan system, but it was all too easy for them to slip through the cracks. Quiet, small, prone to hiding in the rafters, no teacher or foster parents wanted to put up with that. Except for one. A man referred to only by the name Lord Hefinson. He brought Vukasin into his abode and raised them- molded them into a skilled governmental agent. How to be slick, stealthy, smart, and suave were only a few things that the youth learned, but learn them they did. 

Now, well into their 20th year. They have earned their credentials, known to a select few as Agent Butterfly, they work the streets as a private eye. In their free time, they masquerade as an middle-school art teacher, an eye ever fixated on potential recruits.

Efrain A. Crayhorn Aro E. Glynwarren - Player Task 003 - Western AU. Raised by Immra and Orion Glynwarren, Sheriff Aro was raised on their plot of land on the outskirts of town alongside his younger brother Avi. His mother was the sheriff before him in their bodunk, western town and with her help he learned the ins and outs of their metropolis of cattle driving, transient thievery, as well as drunkards, miners, and holy men. Now he keeps the peace as best he can with his small force of sheriff’s deputies. He’s broken up his fair share of disputes, brawls, and shoot-outs. In his spare time, Aro collects environmental samples and documents them in extensive journals he keeps in his home. He still frequents the homes of his parents and the farm of his brother.

Mare Elitihne had a plan. She was going to grow up and become a famous author, or maybe a concert pianist. She had a lot of plans, each more grand than the last. But then, just before her freshman year of high school, her best friend was murdered. Mareona’s entire world burned down that night.  For a time she floundered, she was directionless, lost at sea, alone. Then there was a break in the case, a tiny piece of evidence was found, a fiber from a shirt, and the case was solved.  It felt like magic, brutal magic maybe, but still. Just like that Mare had a plan again. She went to work, making up for lost time in her classes and when she made it into medical school she worked harder than she’d ever worked in her entire life. She had a lot to make up for. Now she’s a highly respected forensic pathologist, her co-workers call her The Bloodhound, because once she’s on the trail it is nearly impossible to get her to let go. Its made her both friends and enemies over the years, but all that matter to her is that she give answers to those who’s lives have turned to ashes all around them. Nothing in her life is more important than that.
