happy august, everyone!

this month has come to mean so much for me over the years. i started a (mostly) daily journal three years ago to track my progress and depict a more accurate journey with managing depression, and it really launched this account into its own thing. i actually started this blog after deleting an old cottagecore blog for various reasons (none of them reasonable in retrospect), but i'm happy that i still was able to find my people again.

august is also the month that my partner and i said "i love you" to each other when we started dating over five years ago! we love the songs that come from this time of year (i'll post a playlist later today), the stormy weather, the back-to-school academia feel, and so much more.

i also love the folklore surrounding this month, and how aware of the changing seasons people start to become, how families check in with themselves and others before the jewish high holy days start. excited to check back in here and there throughout the month with more updates and, yes, romanticizations of my life.

thank you thank you thank you for all the (nearly 2 thousand😳!!!) people who have taken an interest in my sideblog, whether it's a simple passing like, or a follow and DM check-ins. never thought i would run an account like this as a child and i certainly forget/can't believe it as an adult lol
