ROLLING BLACKOUTS COASTAL FEVER are back with a new single, the rollicking âTALKING STRAIGHTâ in the run-up to their forthcoming LP titled âHope Downs.â
The Melbourne based group further their quest in creating ramshackle indierock, the kind that borrows from the college & bedroom indie era of yore while giving the modern scene a much needed six-string shot in the arm. Rolling Blackouts C.F. continue their ascent after a couple of well received EPs as they prepare to release their debut album on a very well-known big league indie label.
âTalking Straightâ is the kind of thing youâve come to expect from the group; ragged guitars that jangle & take off, propulsive rhythm, & ear-wormy choruses that bury themselves inside your mealy mind. Over a concise & moving 3:44 clip, singer/guitarist Joe White laments over the concept of being truly alone in the universe but that we âcould be lonely together.â
