The Rolex Explorer II Reference 1655 nicknamed by collectors as the Steve McQueen or 'Freccione' by some Italian collectors because of the bright orange arrow-shaped 24-hour hand on the watch —the word 'Freccione' comes from the Italian word 'Freccia' which means "arrow"— was only produced by Rolex from 1971 through 1984. @skeletonconceptofficial are starting 2022 the right way, with this off-series incredible timepiece! This customization project was commissioned by a professional art connoisseur who particularly affectionates @gloriagalleryparis, a contemporary art gallery in Paris. He chose to name his concept after the place. The French atelier decided to personalize a Cosmograph Daytona with an architectural skeletonized movement entirely made of 18K Gold. The tachymeter bezel is in forged carbon. The bezel is highlighted by the golden dial ring while the subdials are painted in a rich racine-green color to maximize the contrast of the movement. The timepiece is sharply skeletonized with a game of texture. They opted for both polish and satin finishes and angled each element by hand. The Gloria concept is a powerful and extremely refined timepiece.
