Choral History of Britain - BBC Radio 4
The BBC have been airing the first of a series about the choral history of Britain. This is particularly pertinent given Neighbourhood Theatre’s latest community show, Sing Before You Speak Again, currently in rehearsals. Sing Before You Speak Again is performed by a community choir, and is a cycle of original songs made in response to workshops with people with Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Aphasia, or experience of Stroke.
The series, presented by Roderick Williams, highlights the importance and significance of choral singing for participants and listeners. Below is a link to an episode called Singing for Solidarity, which seems particularly pertinent to Sing Before You Speak Again.
