🍃 Some places leave a lasting impression.
Our recent visit to Rock Cliff along the C&O Canal Towpath reminded us why we love spending time outdoors. Towering cliffs overlooked the Potomac River, a snapping turtle and a frog quietly shared the same spring-fed stream, and nature seemed to slow everything down.
Then we noticed the litter.
Standing there, one question came to mind:
Who's going to clean this up after you do this?
That moment inspired us to create a new Discover page about something that matters wherever you explore.
Leave wildlife where it lives.
Pack out what you pack in.
Respect the places that give us so much.
Small actions by each of us help preserve remarkable places for future generations.

Nature has already done the hard work.
Let's help protect it.

A fun speedboat ride to Maya Bay
If you travel to Thailand, you have to visit the stunning Maya Bay. It is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sandy white beach is surrounded by 100-meter high cliffs that are covered with green shrubs and mosses.
We rented a speedboat from our hotel and left bright and early at around 7 am to avoid the crowds. The boat ride to Maya Bay is an exciting journey in itself. You can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the gentle ocean breezes and amazing panoramic views as the boat passes through majestic sea cliffs over the clear turquoise water.
Once you reach Maya Bay, you can walk around the beach and witness the spectacular view of the blue ocean surrounded by hills on three sides of the beach. Or enjoy a nice swim in the shimmering crystal clear water. If you are like us and love to explore marine life, you should not miss out on snorkelling experience at Maya Bay. The underwater world is simply enchanting. Did you know that famous movie “The Beach” featuring Leonardo Di Caprio was filmed in Maya Bay?
Whether it is Thailand, Goa, Malives, Costa Rica or Tanzania, whenever we travel to a tropical destination, we have come up with a new ritual of spending a few hours at the beach and gazing into the unending ocean.
There is something therapeutic about spending a day at the Maya Bay. You can have a deep and meaningful personal experience if you simply pause, breathe and allow the ocean to communicate with you. It can help you develop a new and refreshing perspective on life. If you allow the waves to whisper in your ears, a few hours spent at the Maya Bay can be one of those experiences that make you look within yourself and seek a deeper meaning in life.
If you are planning to travel to Thailand, we would recommend visiting Maya Bay between the month of November and April to avoid rough tides.

A vibrant fire Show at Koh Phi Phi Island
When we were travelling through Thailand, we spent a few days at the famous Koh Phi Phi Island. During the day we enjoyed swimming, snorkelling, hammocks and fresh tropical drinks. But Koh Phi Phi really became alive during the night.
Every night there are fantastic fire shows right on the beach outside local bars. As the night goes on, the music get louder, dancers get crazier and the fire show becomes more intense. Talented fire jugglers effortlessly dance with inflamed torches. They also offered neon body paint for those who wanted to go all out. The beach ambiance combined with thumping base and energetic crowds from across the globe is definitely something you have to experience at least once in Koh Phi Phi.
During our stay on Phi Phi Island we also visited Maya Bay. It is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sandy white beach is surrounded by 100-meter high cliffs that are covered with green shrubs and mosses.
